I used a different email address and that worked

I think it gives up to 2 keys so you have another try. Third try gives same key.

Which could be a real problem if its bound to an unique email adress.

For example if guys who just grab keys type in the same fake email adress and will get the same key and both create a giveaway then one of them will get a duplicate key to the winner.

In other news...if you do type in your real email you won't get even an email...atleast not yet...maybe they will be stored for something ^^
