Thoughts on Origin Access?
I don't understand EA Origin Access for PC all of those titles have already been released unless EA doesn't stand for Early Access

I know of playstation now since it launch for being a game subscription service and the recent announcement of netflix going worldwide, I was wondering a few days ago when will steam start a service like this. I believe if steam start a service like this of indie games for an affordable subscription price, it will be very popular.

Doubt I'll do it, but seeing as I haven't checked out FIFA in a long time, £4 for one month's access doesn't seem too unreasonable to me, even if it's only FIFA 15. Could play it heavily for a month then cancel. Got all the stuff from the Humble Bundles, managed to snag a free Battlefield 4 , plus have This War of Mine on Steam already so not much else I'd really be into.
I think this would be particularly good for people still in school/uni (or parents getting it on their behalf) during their big summer holidays or even Christmas when they can play a lot. It's a cheap cost to just sub in for a month or two when you envisage having some spare time on your hands.

Might jump on it for one month to play DA:I, other than that, meh

does the Xbox One Access account links to that one? Or different subs? Cuz i got it on X1

I already own most of those on Origin already.

Cool but does anyone know if owning it on Xbox One means you get it on PC too or is separate?

And almost all of those were free "On The House" giveaways from Origin / EA.
not true. nearly none of those were on the house.

I have 6 out of 15 - that's more than 20%. That's 40%. And a couple of those may have been Humble Bundles - I don't really remember how I got them. And that's just counting the ones I have on Origin - not the ones I have on Steam or GOG.
Also I said "At least all the ones I'm remotely interested in." And that takes the 15 down to about 9.
So yeah, 7 or 8 is "almost all" of 9 or 10.

it's very cheap if they keep adding games or if they add optional packs to the subscription.
i wouldn't pay for it anyway, i prefer to play games when i want and not with a time limit.
wonder how much it will take valve to do the same... rent-a-game -.-

This is what I said. If they use filtering based on payment region, it means that if you can buy the service, the account has access to it anywhere in the world. If it is IP based, you have to be in that country (or a certain list of countries) to use it. So the easiest way is to just ask them. EA's support is not Valve's, they are competent and can be helpful.

It's a brand new service and the chances that you find someone who already has it and travelled outside the country in this short time is nearly zero. There are things where waiting for the community is the much slower route. I would classify it as such.

This isn't steam though, so you'll get your answer from them within a day.

Use steam and psn only, not interested in others :)

DA:O, DS 3, This War of mine
I could also try NFS and FIFA to see what are those games like.
I would buy... if It was available in my country xD

Cant wait to start up my Origin app, and now i can pay money for doing that! Isn't this great !
If only there were more games, but then again it's EA.They aren't that good with games in general.

several of those are considered very good games, actually. but haters gonna hate... ;)

Apart from Dragon Age most of them are unplayable or has other problems/issues.
This War of Mine : Available on Steam (why would you even get it on Origin)
Dead Space 3 : Coop is broken due to connection problems.
FIFA: this franchise in general has only few PC players, unless you are playing latest release
Need for Speed : nothing more than a Frostbite engine Demo for the latest titles, and if you are lucky you might experience some racing :)
I own most of those games and i haven't uninstalled Origin just because of Battlefield, frankly Origin and its games creates more problems than it solves (for online part).

It's pretty simple actually. You pay for access to " vault".
But, "vault" is like 30% of their games and it's called "vault" just to sound more appealing.
For example, would you want to pay for "pile of crap" or would rather go for "mysterious super secret vault" :)
You are basically paying for what you already have, and in case you don't have it, you can get almost any of those games for 1 or 2 bucks if you know where to look.

Is it really THAT difficult to understand?Maybe i should have written it in 72 font size so you don't have to ask same question twice.
paying for stuff that you already own is same as throwing money at screen every time you start up origin......
I also got message from this weird dude called "sarcasm" he sends his regards.Or maybe i should point that out too........

It wasn't meant literally, what is wrong with you?
It feels like people novadays lack the ability to think in more than 1 way.......
To every argument there is more than 1 perspective but for you its only 1 and unless its written exactly how you want it to be written it's wrong....

hmm interesting idea like netflix but not my thing at all if i'm paying for something want to be able to have something for it

It's nice, but too few games right now, as a lot of people already have some of these.

EA totally lost me with their bad customer support, greed and bugs in AAA-titles they won't even fix at all.
Also I'm trying to avoid Origin as much as I can since it's just not as nearly as good as Steam and I'm more comfortable only using one platform.
So it's a clear no for me.

It is a nice idea. I see only few problems with that:

Can someone pleas Clarify how this works for me... cause got the notion in the back of my head that you can only play a certain amount of time (12 hrs or so) or is that just for the games you get access to before release and already released titles are unlimited??
And do you have to subscribe to every game seperately???
Comment has been collapsed.
A larger catalogue would make this more appealing to me. At the moment there isn't too much on it that draws me in.
So it's not a "no", it's a "not now".
EDIT: I would also like to see how this works with DLC. For example, if I purchase add-ons for The Sims but then unsubscribe from the bundle, am I left with DLC but no base game to play it on?

$4.99/£3.99 a month will get you access to play a list of games in the "vault". More games will be added to the vault as time goes on, similar to EA Access on XBox One.
The games currently included are:
Currently only available in the US, UK, Canada and Germany.
