7kk IS 7m... 7k means 7000 and 7kk is 7000 + three more 000's .

True, but that system gets ugly when you get to billions.

I've never heard of people on online games using kk or kkk or anything after that lolz...

Maybe it's one of those newfangled gameslang you younguns use these days. TBH, dunno why you would put 7kk to be honest when 7m is much more eloquent and simple.
Edit: I've mostly played those f2p generic mmos like Maplestory, Runescape, and Eudemon Online. Also a short stint with Ghost Online before it was cancelled. Never seen people use kk. lolz
Is it only seen in Eve Online or something?

well, sorry to tell you, but based on games you're referring to, you're the newfag here ;p The first time I've encounter a simple million currency trade was back almost 2 decades ago in ultima online snd 10 years ago in GW1 times kk was pretty much the definition of currency for good items (and yeah - it was called kk not m or mil). Not mto mention that since old-wotlk and then cata in WoW all pricy transactions were reffered to in kk. not to mention Pandaria...

I am pretty much a newfag... :/
But still, even in those newer MMOs, I never really see people using kk or kkk before...

you clearly know nothing. one I speak english. two there is a word "Milion" in my language. three it has nothing to do with whole community of particylar MMO using kk instead of M. ore do you incline that the in whole community playing particular game noone speaks english and don't know word milion? then you are an idiot :>
Comment has been collapsed.
I do know that but people don't really use kk or anything. I've only seen people use 7m to denote 7000000 rather than 7kk.

There are other countries in debt too... Like Japan.

It's a $1 game that is good fun.
It's also an un-written, in-site joke/rule that you have to win it. You can't buy it, unless it's for giving away and when you win it, it's nice to give a copy as well. Keep the pattern going.
Comment has been collapsed.
True, and that makes it better because (if) the 7m fotix giveaway happened, who ever is making the giveaways could make an extra 70707 giveaways on top of the 7m copies without spending over $7m.

Nemesys Games must have made alot of money just because of SG :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, i thought it would have been much more... I hope i would win Fortix, so i could giveaway atleast 40 copies of Fortix :)

also keep in mind tat it was also recently included in bundle, plus Valve takes a piece of a cake from each copy sold as well - so just ~2k $ - not so much. But it's just "direct" profit. Indirect is that surely a lot of people heard about the game they haven't before, even if you're supposed to "win" it I believe a lot of ppl just may have bought it themselves, as it's cheap, not to mention good advertising for a sequel which is more pricy :>

Just use steam store filters :>

well it's quite easy to see which game is bullshit - just see gameplay, reviews, friend recomendations etc ;p I can only speak for the games I have and played ;)
Full support: State of Decay, Shadow Warrior (but i still reccomend KB/M for thos one - don't like playing FPS with controller, because of clumsy aiming ;p), Borderlands 1+2 (better on KB/M), Skullgirls, Bioshock games (better on kb/m), Trine 2, Dishonored (better on kb/m), FEZ, Portal 2 (better on kb/m), Mark of the Ninja, Tomb Raider, Monaco, Brutal Legend, Orcs Must Die 1+2, Super Meat Boy, LIMBO, Braid, Alan Wake, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Metro 2033, Papo & Yo, They Bleed Pixels, The Cave Castle Crashers, Sonic Generations, LEGO games, Shank 1+2, The Last Remnant
All are good games with full controller support

Thx man, i owe you one :D
Lucky me, i got most of the games.
But I have to say that the gameplay went better then expected with controller for these games:
Bioshock Series, Borderlands, FEZ. Anyway... im so excited to build up my own little steam machine :)

More importantly, at a price of US$0.99, original Fortix is the cheapest full game you can buy directly on the Steam Store at any time of the year to legitimize a Steam account. Signing in is free, but you need a paid game to be able to interact with other members. It's what I did with my kid's Steam account before the era of sales, gifts, trades and bundles.

Its the best dragon slaying game ever made period

Let's be honest, nowhere near that amount was actually spent on the games. Still, it's a nice milestone :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe, if given away as a bundle. But if keys were given away separately, the amount was probably calculated at the specific game's current non-sale price on the Steam Store. Considering most bundles start at a dollar, you can be sure the $7m is mostly for show. Not that any of the contributors are complaining for the exaggerated numbers.

SG has reached a total of $7,000,000 total value of gifts given away!
Where could have this money gone instead?
