A bump for whoever is willing to download multiple gigs for a few days trial.
The site doesn't state how many.

The full game takes up 36.9 GB on my hard drive. (An improvement on the first's massive 62.8 GB, maybe they forwent the multilingual wav files this time round). I can imagine them reducing it by excluding the campaign. For what it's worth, the game showed as already playable after downloading only 42% in the Origin client, so that may give some kind of indication for what a possibly reduced deployment could entail (admittedly pure speculation on my part).
I haven't completed the campaign yet, and have yet to try multiplayer, but what I've experienced so far was very good. Game runs very well, too.

I think it's gonna be more. With Battlefront you could also play it already while downloading, but you only had one (tiny) level and two characters.

Spain here on DSL. No fiber optics where I live. I average between 800kb/s to 1mb/s download & up to about 130kb/s upload speed. There are more expensive dsl options available, but I'm not that fussed as it's fast enough for me to watch my tv shows & I don't mind waiting a few hours or a day for a game to download & install in the background if it's over 30GB or so.
Even in places like UK some people only have access to piss poor internet connections or are limited to horrible limited usb dongle sticks which are overpriced & have limited bandwidth. I'm just happy we only have to pay €20 & have unlimited bandwidth, though sure I wouldn't mind fiber optic connection somewhere down the line if it becomes available & is reasonably priced.

if i truly had to compared it to one game I'd call it call of duty 5. Before you kill me, for me the game brings the best of COD fast shooting mechanics and adds 3 new layers:
1) verticality by allowing you to slide and wall run and a few other parkour activities and desiging the maps to fully
2) a mecha showdown : during battle you will call your mech 1-3 times which means that each mech you destroy chances are that that player will take a very long to get another.
3) AI bots that serve as fodder (so you always have something to shoot)
Those 3 layers make the game "better" then COD because it makes the game have less predictability and more "epic" moments, the AI bots will act like you are the ace of your team and allows for the game to never evolve to a "hide and seek" gameplay; The mecha showdown allows for a change of pace and a chance to turn a bad situation to a good one since each mech can kill a player with a few shots however by using parkour you can mostly keep away from their sight and since the titans have long CD losing one is a blow for the team; the verticality allows for the "normal" player to player action to reward more skilled since you can use walls to change your trajectory.

Yeah the first game was overhyped and lacked content. As a result it died pretty fast. This time around, things are different. In addition to a single player campaign, they added a ton of customisation for both your pilot and your titan. Also all the dlc that effects the gameplay will be free, like maps, game modes and weapons. There's an in game store for additional cosmetic stuff but they're very reasonably priced (3 bucks for 20 camos). So I think this game will actually grow more with time just like Rainbow Six Siege. It has a very passionate community and an awesome developer team that really cares about their players.

I'm not sure if they'll allow preloading. I'll share here when I know for sure. As for the how/where, i'm pretty sure you'll see it on origin store.
Edit: No preload :(

I heard somewhere that Origin Access members got the trial 2 days before everyone else. I guess that's not happening now.

Yeah I'll just wait. I have TF2 on the Xbox One so I know how awesome it is. Just excited to see how well it runs on the PC xD

Gonna enjoy download 25 gigs at 200kb/s ( I dont even know how good origin's speed is ).
Yeah, these two days aren't gonna help me decide anything except how long does it take me to download the game.
