I can see that to be true with 2K. But Telltale Games? They are cool with Valve

well that is pretty much nonsense... main goal for every publisher is profit so as long it's profitable for them, they don't care about Valve's cut... and cards are highly profitable since it's basically factitious profit generated with costs ranged from 0 to something around nothing... if they would care for Valve not getting money from them, they wouldn't choose Steam as main distributing platform and DRM, because that's where Valve gets their main cut... so this is definitely not the reason

edit: also, both Telltale Games and 2K games in fact HAVE cards for some of their games which destroys this theory completely

Yup, and there are still more like X-Com The bureau or Starships... So the statement "Telltale Games & 2K. Never ever made a single steam card" is completely invalid.

Not the publisher are doing the cards, it´s the developers choice.

With the exeption of EA, were it's most likely the publisher's choice, because they want people to switch to their own DRM/client anyway. Hmm and maybe Ubi as well? Don't think there's any Ubi/Uplay games on Steam that have cards... don't know for sure though.

Ubisoft has a few games with cards like Valiant Hearts and Call of Juarez but for the most part their games are cardless.

Okay, just an educated guess: those few that come with cards are probably not Uplay games?

Blood Dragon uses Uplay DRM. Not 100% sure about the other but I think Gunslinger does too.

nope, Blood Dragon is the only one that requires UPlay, Gunslinger works without it.

Nope. Gunslinger is not Uplay.

Valiant hearts uses Uplay. Interestingly enough, it doesnot say trading cards on the storepage, but the game has cards.
