You can say it a few different ways, depending upon what you want to emphasize.
(emphasizing the "not ready")
"You probably thought you were ready."
"Was I not ready?"
"You were definitely not ready."
(emphasizing the state of being)
"You weren't ready."
"I wasn't ready?"
"Nope."
(emphasizing the question/confusion)
"You had to be ready, first."
"Wasn't I ready?"
"No, you were not."
