I think I'm going to switch to Polish voices for the rest of my Steam playthrough. Assuming we're able to use English subtitles.
Edit: Oh hell no! I did some further research and I'm probably too used to the English voice actors by now. Polish sounded and looked like a cheap television show voiceover. Quite jarring...

Even though I'm Polish I decided to play the game entirely in English, because I wanted to have the same experience as most of the world. I wanted to be "tuned in", if that makes any sense. Hearing someone tried to do the opposite which provided an "interesting" experience in itself is a little funny. :)
For making me giggle a bit I'll tell you a small curiosity I encountered with the translation, that made me think "Yeah, that was written by one of my countrymen".

After Triss's interrogation at the hands of the witchhunters you have this dialog option:

Triss says "Should heal in time for my wedding" to which I reacted with "What F&%#ing wedding? Did I miss a plot point?", and only after a while did I remember a polish expression "Do wesela się zagoi" which you use when you want to say that a bruise or a cut is insignificant. A far better translation, although still too literal, would be "Should heal in time for me to be wed", which the original expression implies, that there is no wedding being planned but once one is on the horizon the potential bride or groom will be presentable. And even that phrase seems out of place when a simple "It's nothing" or "I'm fine" would've sufficed. :)

Really? Hm, but it's not in English as far as I knew, so it made it obvious that it was not written in it. It was a little forced translation, so it piqued my interest. That's all. :)

Very interesting. I actually never picked up on that in any of my playthroughs. At least not as I remember at this point.
I spent well over an hour listening to the various songs from the game in Polish and other languages. Wolven Storm - is amazing regardless of language is the main conclusion I make from this. I have to say I prefer the English version though, maybe only because it's the first I heard and it's a quite uhm... unexpectedly emotional performance.

I don't, heh. I'd prefer to launch everything through Steam, and it's been hard to find good deals on Rockstar keys for Steam ever since they opened their own Social Club(?) store (just like EA and Ubi keys are more rare for Steam since Origin and UPlay stores launched). Like, Fanatical only sells keys from the respective stores now instead of stocking Steam keys for them any more.
