So... Yesterday I contacted a guy that wanted to trade his CS:GO ROW gift for my 2 Falchion Keys. He went first and I gave him the keys, everything was great.

But today, when I checked my inventory in the noon I had all my stuff like I used to have. And like an hour ago I checked again. It just freaking disappeared.

So I checked all the possible things that could have happened and the only thing I found is that the guy that I traded with got trade-banned.

Not sure how this happened but I guess it's a scam and I was just too stupid to not think about the things that could happen? Or it's Steam that screws me.

I made a ticket so I'm waiting now for a response.

Maybe that anyone else has an idea.

Never knew that this stuff could happen too. I won't trust anything anymore that isn't a steamoffer.

Thanks, I hope that Steam can do something for me. And 2 keys is not a big deal but yeah, the thought of being scammed is really sad.

Fairs enough. For future reference ya should run their profiles through Steamrep. Before ya deleted that link i put their profile there and it showed 2 reports, one datingg back from March.

Yeah I need to be more careful next time. I think I trusted him too much because a trade like that went great without any problems a while ago.

Am sure ya things will reappear in ya inventory as well. Valve usually reverts scam-trades like this. Lesson learned though right? (=

He traded you a gift that was revoked later due to fraudulent payment, so if you traded using trade window for your items, support might do something, well or might not.

that happened to me some years ago, and after sending support proof of the trade (inventory/trade history) i got my keys back (it was 3-5 tf2 keys).

dunno if they keep doing this with their new policies.

I hope so, I just need to be more careful next time. But it's a weird way of scamming IMO. But it's effective I guess?

+1 And it's for this reason alone that I will never trade on Steam.

I traded a lot on Steam and you can avoid this problems for the most part, once I had similar problem, and I got back my games that I traded, but it was my fault for trading with suspicious ppl, if you trade with good ppl, you are ok in practically all cases.

I guess I need to stop trusting people that I don't know. Well atleast I learned a lesson.

Calling out, even someone not on sg is really not a recommended practice. You should probably remove the links to the profile.
Also, check your Account Details->Product and License Activations.

Thanks for the reply but it's a gift in my inventory so I won't find anything about it there.

CS:GO ROW gift for my 2 Falchion Keys
He went first

So it wasn't a tradeable one then :\

Steam support may offer a one-time exception, but unfortunately their policy makes it clear that they wouldn't normally help you in a situation like this:

Items or gifts exchanged in separate trades are not eligible for restoration.
