So I was wondering if steamgifts could auto sync your file whenever you win a game just to check since lets face the facts most games people win are bundled and many people buy the bundle and forget to sync afterwards so autosync would check and if they have it then it would autoreroll and would be a nice way to prevent from winning a game they already have.

How about free weekends, etc.? I guess it would reroll endlessly and take the site down ;)

So it's harder than you imagine.

But could always have a failsafe like after 20 rerolls it would leave it to the discreation of the user who created the giveaway if it needs a reroll or not.

Would create way too much usage of the server capacities and traffic and thus cost a lot of money.

Seems like the critique here is on the method and not the issue. If someone wins a game, there should be a way to kick them from any current, same game, listings preventing the winning of multiple identical games in a short time. I was surprised to find out this wasn't already a default policy.

It's not default policy after one dude won two giveaways of same game in same time and one of them turned out to be fake while other didn't. (Actually, no idea if that's true story. But one day it would happen for sure...)

Unless it would be at the moment of clicking "received" or something...

Fake giveaways is its own problem. I don't see how those should stop the rest of the feature list from improving.

This won't work if you win a giveaway during a free weekend, which would be incredibly annoying.

I found strange thing I already buy The Witcher 3 on steam, but it still not recognized by steamgifts.

I believe it is because it is still in pre-order, and the site does not read people as owning games that they pre-ordered.

Steam servers are always lagging, not strange at all.
You've tried syncing your account on SG, right?

My profile is friends only, I change to public when I absolutely need to (sync for steam gifts/allow tradematcher to check my inventory).
