I wouldn't say it's as painfully obvious as some ppl seem to indicate as it does take a bit of poking to get there (I think it's ok to say that much). At least it did for me, but maybe there's a more direct route.

I was definitely off in the weeds a few times, though - looking at the page source (nope), looking for ways to extract five letter/numbers (all characters following colons? nope. First character of every indented paragraph? nope.), etc.

I tried some things and nothing worked. I gave up and now I'm back ... I do not know if I can ask a direct question, but I do not know where else to look: does the pool have anything to do with the puzzle?

P.s.: Anyway, I think I have to congratulate you for creating this puzzle, since it's apparently something simple but not very obvious. I'm pissed, but I'm also having fun trying to figure out what it is. : D
