The ST. MARK'S SQUARE Challenge!

Where: Venice, Italy
What: Principle public square of Venice, with two of Venice's most iconic buildings (St. Mark's Basilica and Doge's Palace)

Interesting facts:

  • Also known as Piazza San Marco, and termed as "the drawing room of Europe".
  • It originated from the ninth century as a small area in front of a cathedral church, St. Mark's Basilica.
  • A major activity there used to be pigeon feeding, until the government banned it recently. D:
  • Shown in the connect-the-dots are actually St. Mark's Basilica and its campanile.

GOOD LUCK on the challenge! Let your creative juices flow and create some awesome St. Mark's Squares! (I mean, there will be GAs too, but those are secondary, right?)

You can attach the image to your post.

Seems a bit cut off, can you get a wider version? Would be a shame to not see all of its glory when you've done such a nice job with colouring it!

Oh yes, drawing with more pressure tends to do that ^^ I remember when I used to "draw" with the edge of a protractor and colour over it to create that effect.

The square (more like a rectangle) is finished.
The felt-tip pens I used were made in Italy, the mark from the box is in the top left corner.
Not to be confused with the 2nd picture. :P
Looks like the picture is less dark than it is on paper. :(

I can imagine... 300 over lines is a lot! I don't write often, so when I do my hand gets cramped up after a while too.
