I'm almost at level 4. Only about 3 dollars to reach the $100 CV needed.
And I actually made 2 giveaways of 20$ (with reduced value) so it should be enough.
It's going to 3 days soon, after delivering the key to the winners and they haven't checked everything on their side.
Not gonna lie, I'm very much being impatient on this. But I still find it stressing to enter on the side and seeing still the "Level 3" up there.
Specially noticing the 2 winners of the pending giveaway have apparently entered the site on these two past days.
They just haven't claimed and checked the key as received, apparently.
Guess I'll try to communicate with them soon, and see...

Sure, but if you wanna keep that sweet level 4 you should add a little extra, cuz level will drop over time :I

Levels don't drop overtime, only if someone gave away a game that should have been reduced value, but wasn't at the time of the giveaway. I don't see any reason his level should drop later though.

Levels/cv drop because games get cheaper in the steam store and that is the base for the cv.

Biggest drops are for very new games and smallest for very old that reached "the end" of the price drops that publishers do.

As far as i know, and i could be wrong, they won't retroactively take away your CV if the game you gave away gets cheaper AFTER the giveaway ended.
Only if the game was cheaper before the giveaway, but the site hasn't updated it at the time.

If a sale occurs after a game is given, then correct, the CV remains. However, the CV value is always based on the current Steam price (USD), and if there is a permanent price drop, all GAs, regardless of timeline, lose some value.

I don't thought this and didn't feel as you don't take me serious.
if i would feel this way i would write it... i am known for my direct acting/behavior :o)

It is a fact that the word of a (ex) mod have more weight, in a rules question, as the word of a normal user.
This doesn't have something to do with you or me and was only a general thing.

It's much more rare, but this also means a price raise would give a CV boost.

Level drop over time, don't know how it works exactly, but I was level 7 for a few years, and some day I woke up and was level 6.5... so there are situations where the level go down. Not complaining on my situation, didn't even check what could make this happened, but it happened.

There seems to be a point that you're missing. SG tracks when you gave a game away, and CV drops will not affect your score unless the CV drop is retroactive to a point past when the GA was. SG does not log the value of a game at the time you gave it away. It checks current regular prices (not sale prices). As Masafor and Gaffi stated above, a permanent change to the regular store price of a game you've given away will affect your level score. Theoretically, this can also go in the other direction, where a game could increase its regular store price, and thereby boosting your level score.

No problem, I know.
Im just a bit OCD-ish with this kind of stuff.
Having those giveaways still pending feedback makes me weirdly stressed. Not sure how to explain it.

Yeah I sort of understand as I like things "sorted" and "be done with". But it's good to let things out of our control run it's course and bother ourselves less. Ofc easier said than done xP

Just give it a moment, do something else for a while to clear your head and when you come back later it'll all probably be solved.
No use fretting over issues you can't do much about...
Also as people have mentioned, if the giveaways were recently in a bundle they might get "de-valued", just plan for that. Make another giveaway or two if it suits you to make sure you get the intended result :p

Giveaways that are open to all I gather are prone to this delay. But I'm with you, I get antsy when days pass with no redemption.

You'll get there!

What you see as online activity could be an autojoin script at work.

Of course I'm aware that this is a far fetched theory as we are all honest folks on SG ain't we?
