Was like 15 years + since i last played Unreal so a while ago i bought them all for single player. 1 was horridlbe 2 was slow and worse in some parts but better in others.. Gave up after the second one :) They where not even close to what i remembered.

I strongly disagree. There's a lot of atmosphere, level design is great (albeit a bit confusing sometimes, i can understand that), weapons are cool and the AI is still pretty smart even by today standards (mostly because we hardly made any progress on videogames AI). It was quickly overshadowed by Half Life, but the first Unreal remains a classic title. The soundtrack, which was made by Alexander Brandon (the same guy of Deus Ex and XCOM EU) is still memorable.
Multiplayer was fun, but the single player was no slouch either, it was awesome killing grunts with the flak cannon or beheading them with the razorjack, while backpedaling and dodging attacks. Pure old school skills. When you weren't shooting, you were often looking at impressive scenarios.
Also it was the first fully 3D engine on the market that required a videocard to run and set the bar on 3D capabilities. Good memories.
