Happy birthday.
I love questions which teach something.
I am aware it wasn't your purpose but I learned something. :)
While I was checking whic language you are speaking Google (Do you use Baidu?)
told me Standard Mandarin, Hakla and Hoklo.
If I come to your country can I speak with most people by speaking Chinese?

Actually Chinese people also doesn't use pinyin (Raomanization)
It is made to teach foreigners Chinese. ANd you can see it on some brands. (Midea) (Actually characters read different)
But I think they learn it a little in case they might need because my friends knew it.
You use simplified characters, don't you?
Would you like me to translate what i wrote in Pinyin for you?

Raynero, Zao Shang Hao,
I have a Chinese friend in Philippines and she is a Chinese teacher there.
Are you part of a Steam community which includes most of the Asian countries?
If you are could you please ask if anyone interested practicing English, learning Chinese and helping her to explore a new culture in return?

Hi , 祁汉! Good afternoon!
I'm not in any big Asian groups. I'm only in some China and Taiwan groups.
Unfortunately most people in these groups, use chinese language to conversations.
So I'm usually on steamgifts community to practice english . XD

I am from Shanghai. :D
It's one of the best cities in China. You should hear about it.
What do you mean by "except medical services I received"?
You received bad medical services when you lived in China? : (
Since there are too many people in China, every doctor needs to serve hundreds of patients every day, sometimes you can't get the best services from them, especially in big cities like Beijing and Guangzhou. And if you are not a Chinese citizen, maybe you can't enjoy the medical insurance and have to pay the full fee.

I went to Shanghai. It is beautiful.
Also I have two friends there.
I went to China to study Chinese and after a week of my arrival I got sick.
I was studying in Beijing Language and Culture University and we had a huge medical area.
So I went there. Unfortunatelly doctor couldn't be able to speak English but with some help we managed to communicate. "You are fine, take this medicine, eat more vegetables."
Two days later I went there again . Same response, you are OK, eat more vegetables.
After two weeks I was still sick.
A friend mentioned a good hospital, Beijing University 3rd Hospital.
So I went there. it was huge. They had a special building just for people who have fever. They had x-ray, place to stay etc. in that building.
They gave me serum and I was better for 2 days.
So I went there again. And same things happened all over and over.
In the meantime my ear had an infection, my body start to show different symptoms like red dots.
And after two months I begged a doctor to do a different test.
I really begged him.
Later I gave up, when i was about to go back to my country I talked to someone I studied together.
He said that he wil help me. So I went to Guangzhou.
We went to Qifu Hospital and I stayed there for a week.
One of the best memory is, a nurse brought me a pill.
In my country since you take a pill with water , we assume we are drinking it.
She said chi (eat) and I was confused. i asked chi (eat) he (or) he(drink)
She said chi. So I started chewing it :) She was shouting and I was trying to chew it wondering what is going on.
But even after everything bad, I have to accept I had wonderful time.
I even enjoyed my trips to hospital (I had a bicycle (someone stole it just outside security head office of university))
And I really want to go back. I love going to a restaurant and ordering something you don't know. :)
And after one week they start to give you more noodles and call you chang toufa, da beizi etc
I miss China. And if I go there to live again I want to live in Shanghai this time.
That way I would have lived in top 3 cities, i assume.

OMG, I am very sorry for your unfortunate experience in China. T_T
Maybe the Chinese medicine didn't have good effect on you since you are a foreigner, different from us. XD
When I am sick, my parents always say "take some medicine, eat more vegetables and drink more hot water, you will be OK". :D
When that nurse said chi(吃)(eat), actually she wanted you to drink it. : )
In Chinese words, chi(吃) has a lot meaning, varying in different situations. Sometimes it means eat, sometimes it means drink.
China covers a large territory and has many nationalities, hence a variety of Chinese food with different but fantastic flavor.
Many foreigners love Chinese delicious food. :D
You are welcome to China again. ✪ω✪

Sorry, none of my Steam communities meets your friend's requirements. : (
In fact, many players from China spend a lot of time on games, but they rarely communicate with others in Steam communities. They prefer to discuss games or other things in local steam forums, because most of them are not good at English. I'm from a forum named SteamCN( http://steamcn.com/forum.php ), it's the biggest unofficial steam forum in China.
Maybe you can make a discussion on SG to look for someone from Asian countries. :D
PS: it's evening in China now.
