Gintama is truly great
It's is my all time favourite anime because it parodies almost everything and it's just so funny but it has like 200+ episodes.

One thing you could try is Aldnoah.Zero, not sure if it would really be considered as having super powers or unique concept though, since I haven't watched too many animes. However, it has these sort of battlesuits called Kataphracts, not sure about the exact spelling, and they often have special things about them. Kind of like superpowers. Plus some big battles, though the story seems to suffer a bit more in the second season, at least in my opinion. I also enjoyed watching an anime called Bleach myself, definitely has super powers in it, though only the first few seasons are on netflix, there are other places to watch the rest and it is very long. Can't say if it suffers near the end or not, haven't gotten that far. Also if you haven't watched it yet there is Sword Art Online 2. If you want, I can go into more detail about them, though I didn't in this comment to avoid spoilers.

As for superpowers in terms of political influence and military superiority, I highly recommend GATE: JIEITAI KANOCHI NITE, KAKU TATAKAERI.

Silver Spoon; a slice of life anime loosly based on the author of Full metal Alchimist, really funny, yet really touching. Status; ended and short

Black Cat; My favorite anime (because it was the first one I have ever watched), about an assassin who becomes a sweeper (bounty hunter) Status; Ended and short (the Manga is REALLY good!!!!)
