Here is the key to World of Tanks Generals Beta for a lucky lurker. It's not a Steam key, but if someone plays Wargaming titles and has WG account will know how to activate it. Please leave a message if you grab it.

Also, a poll, because I never made one before. Tell me what you play. The first answer in the poll is War Thunder, because it's what I play. Used to play World of Tanks A LOT, but since the tanks made it to War Thunder, I left my WoT account to rot.

Edit: The key was taken. From the poll results... Didn't expect so many filthy rat loving casuals. Your lack of panzer love is disturbing...

Never played this game, maybe because my one and only gaming platform was, is, and always will be, PC.

3DO... I loved their Might & Magic series. The RPG games. Especially 6 & 7. MM8 wasn't that bat, a bit casual compared to it's predecessors, but still good. Everything that came after isn't worth mentioning.

Haha, yeah I played this a bunch back when I was younger. I haven't played too much of the might and magic series (as much as I wanted to) but I did get to play homm 3 at a friend's house and loved it. Hot seat multiplayer can be a lot of fun!

Aye, HoMM3 and 4 are in their shiny boxes on my shelf. Spent a lot of time with those. And HoMM2, but that was later, out of curiosity. I liked those HoMM games, but my favorite series was Disciples(1+2 are the best, 3 is a joke). And of course the King's Bounty games... Nowday's my number 1 among the "HoMM alikes."

Hehe, I'm with WT since the earliest open beta, way before tanks. Witnessed the tanks arrival. It was bad, true, now it's much better. Matchmaking is funny, especially in realistic battles, which I play the most. The game's still enjoyable.

I reached about 12k battles in WoT. Quit playing in early 2013.

Awesome, claimed it, thanks a lot!

And well, I have played like 24k battles in World of Tanks, didnt play very actively since last june though.

WT was never my favorite. I'm not a big fan of air battles and GF sucks ass. Have played it after the public release...too much drifting, my KV getting killed by HE every match, naaah.

I am playing the closed beta of World of Warships right now and it looks very promising, in contrast to the WoWp alpha and beta.

Now it's much different. KV's got buffed up, no longer blowing up after being hit with HE. HEAT is a different story though. over 100mm penetration to the side of KV-2's turret.... Boom!

Glad someone got the code, enjoy :)

Maybe I have to try it again, I like the concept of the hit-cam.

Much has changed for the better. It isn't perfect, and I doubt it will be soon. But with the game that's using actual ballistics to calculate damage, and not just substracting hitpoints. I don't deny that WoT is simply enjoyable, fast paced tank battling. War Thunder aims for some measure of realism. Direct hit on a soft tank/SPG/SPAA with KV-2's 152mm gun will turn it into a smoldering ruin, regardless of its tier. Light tanks are light, they die after a single, well aimed hit. It all depends on your preferences. War Thunder offers slower paced battles, but you have to actually aim through the scope, calculate the shell drop. You can use coaxial machinegun to adjust fire, just like they did in real tank battles.

What I like in the game can be shown on an example of a tank, that's present in both Wot and WT: M3 Lee. In WoT it has 75mm cannon. The turret is a props, right? Well, in WT this tank has its 75mm gun, 37mm gun in the turret, and a ,30cal machinegun. All those armaments are independent and operable.

Just my rant to show that the game has changed much from when the tanks were released for the first time.

I see, multiturret mechanics are nice, you should look for Heroes and Generals, M3 Lee included :3
