Thought I'd give this whole puzzle thing a go and what better way to do it by putting together a movie puzzle?

You can give it a go here.

I've tried to make it a mix of pretty easy ones and some that might be a tad harder. Might be one or two curve balls thrown in there for good measure as well ;) It's a themed puzzle (you'll see what I mean) and if needed there will be hints posted later on.

The GA at the end of the rainbow will run for one week and I hope you enjoy this first little attempt at a puzzle :)

ps. I've tried to make sure I haven't screwed up any links or what not, but if you spot anything that seems off or doesn't work let me know.

Bump for solved. Never saw the movie for Q6, but a Wikipedia categories page helped me brute-force the puzzle. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I'm happy to see that the puzzle seems to be appreciated :) If needed I'll start dropping hints on Wednesday.

Also, puzzle #02 will be posted on Saturday around the time this first one ends. It will be a themed puzzle as well, but slightly longer and possibly just a tad harder.

Thank you for the puzzle. I'm not into this kind of games but the puzzle was fun (although I had a hard time with some questions, like 6).

Q1 and 7 elude me, but I feel so close. Pretty sure I have seen 1, but not sure, and 7 seemed so obvious, but then wasn't.

Last I can say as a participant I guess is, read all the comments on this thread. One "has" a solving way for them if you're lost... But from "where"?

I got 7 now, still nothing on Q1. It looks like I should know it and it is really annoying that I cannot for the life of me find it. :D

Got almost all of them on the first try! All but Q1. Trying to recognize the actor, nothing yet... I might end up googling...
Yup, Google helped: solved! In my defense I must say that I haven't seen that film yet :)

I think the first one was the one I'd seen most recently, and it still took me the longest to figure out.

If anyone still needs it, here are some (crappy) hints:

1 - One could say two worlds collide.
2 - The screengrab is not from the original cut of this famous action/sci-fi.
3 - The Blue Man Group loves this movie.
4 - They were welcomed to Earth alright.
5 - Don't go towards the light.
6 - Sort of like a distant prequel to #2 in this puzzle.
7 - Probably one of the weirdest/weakest game-to-movie ideas ever.

Told you they'd be crappy hints ;)
