I don't know, but I'm curious too.
It seemed like for months I had a 10% off for new subscriber coupons, but when it came time to sign up for this current one with XCOM2, the coupon had expired. lol Go figure. The more I use Humble Bundle, the more I like that site.
If you haven't noticed, when you are a subscriber, you get a flat 15% discount off every purchase, including sales. 10% coupon + 5% to your wallet or charity.
What I have learned is that if I have a coupon, it is automatically applied. I've not found a way to acquire coupons outside of what HB chooses to email me or directly apply to my account.

If you haven't been subscribed in at least 3 months, then the new subscriber coupons will work for you. I've seen that mentioned by others.

Wish I got that deal, all I got was 10%off for being "new" just because I have not subscribed in awhile.
Got a chuckle at the loyalty reward how can you be loyal if you have not been subscribed? lol

I know but what I was getting at is a discount for subscribing again and then a bonus for being a loyal subscriber.5 dollar bonus for being a loyal monthly subscriber, yet they are getting 10% off for re-subscribing.I am wondering how they can be a loyal subscriber and a new re-subscriber at the same time.
Maybe I just have a different view on loyal lol.

I think that might be their version of a discount double check?

Do you (or anyone else) know if the $5 Humble wallet can be used for their Bundle purchases or is it only valid for the Store?
EDIT: never mind, I found out myself
Your Humble Wallet lets you maintain a balance of credit for use on the Humble Store. (Note: at this time, Humble Wallet funds may not be used to purchase bundles.)

Thanks for replying, though :)
A shame we can't use it for bundles (yet?).

Yeah, it's rather tempting. It's just that I buy a lot of Humble bundles but hardly use the Humble Store, so bundle purchases would have been extra sweet.

Same here! I just got the email and was surprised to see 3 coupons there. I don't recall acquiring them. I never bought HB monthly too. In any case, I tried it and bought my first monthly bundle at -10%.
Not sure if I will use the other 2 as they will expire the same time next month which means that only 1 of them can be used. Unless I'm missing something?

I got the email about an expiring coupon, and bought the February bundle with a 10 % discount 20 minutes before this thread was opened. I haven't bought a monthly since May.
There's nothing in my email about €5 wallet, there's no money in my wallet, and there's no mention of it on my Thanks for purchasing-page.
So... €5 is €5, is there something I'm missing? (except the €5...)

Yeah May was Mad Max. I got April (with South Park) and May with Mad Max.
Still haven't played any of the games from those two monthlies (already owned South Park...), so let's see if this month will be any better in that regard. Couldn't resist Xcom 2 with a discount though...

I canceled because i did not wanted January (so I skipped only one month) and i still got the mail !
And in the mail, I clicked on the claim "claim you 5$" or something, it showed me the montly, i suscribed (with 10% off) and put the 5$ directly on my wallet, no need for more action.
My point : click on the 5$ and not on the subcription, it will put the 5$ in your wallet automaticly.

Wow, just wow. I also had a 10% off coupon (don't even remember how I got it), I thought it wouldn't work anyway, since I had already had subscribed to the Monthly once, way back for "Mad Max". Now, the coupon worked, I got the monthly for $10.80 AND I got €4.50 into my wallet on top of it, effectively only paying around $6 for "XCOM 2". So, if I understand this correctly, I have until Feb 22 to cancel my subscription in case I don't like the next months early unlock and I'll keep the other games that will be unlocked next Friday in any case?
On a sidenote, Humble Store seems to have a funny way of converting currencies... with the Monthly discount, Euros become dollars suddently:

I already have HB February XCOM2 and did unsubscribe.
So the mail says
"Resubscribe to Humble Monthly and unlock XCOM 2. 10% off your first month back. Cancel anytime."
"$5 special bonus only for resubscribers
As a reward for being a loyal Humble Monthly customer,
get $5 and 10% off the Humble Store when you resubscribe!"
"XCOM 2 for them, $5 for you
For a limited time when you refer a friend to Humble Monthly,
get $5 towards your next store purchase!"
so if i resubscribe i got to paid again and got same XCOM2 bundle, which mean i will get 2x Feb bundle from my previous purchase & the new Subscription + 5$ wallet right?
😀 my english bad,.. really confusing

Someone might have some answers for me about this.
I've subrscribed to HB Monthly before so normally I couldn't be using a 10% off coupon on the Monthly since I'm not a new subscriber. Earlier this month I noticed I had a coupon and went to the Monthly subscription page to see if it would let me use it and it wouldn't. Today I received an e-mail telling me my coupon would expire soon and suggesting me to use it.. so clicking the link from the e-mail I went to the Monthly page and to my surprise it was letting me get the 10% off. I thought maybe the link had some code forcing the coupon to be used but no if I went again from the HB main page it would still let me use the coupon.
My question is .. is there some unwritten rule about those coupons like if you haven't subscribed in X months it resets the coupon use, did HB simply screwed up somehow ?
