Don't know about cooperative games, but there are several board games that can be played online.
Splendor
Le Havre
Ticket to Ride
There are some pinball games as well.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/511820/ It's not the full game, just the 2-player version, but still quite good.

Terraria, Starbound, Risk of Rain, Forced, Hammerwatch, Saints' Row games, Dead Rising, Dead Island, Torchlight + other hack and slash games, Sonic Racing, tons with Tabletop Sim - what genre/style would fit the most? Viscera Detail also works :D

Divinity Original SIn http://store.steampowered.com/app/373420/ if you are into fantasy RPGs.

WoW? I know a lot of couples who play that together.

It's not too bad I play it with my sister in middle school and she likes it a lot.

cute. I suggest Battleblock Theater if you like co-op games. I just finished it with a friend. He got mad at my darts blocking the way, though.. but I also played it previously with someone else but we stopped at world 5 or so.
You basically find gems and 1 yarn as fast as you can in each stage and work together to do it. You can also punch each other and use the weapons to hurt/kill each other (which is dumb fun but doesn't get you anywhere in co-op)
I think the game has death matches which is why there are even weapons to begin with but I only played the campaign.
Dying together has never stopped being enjoyable for me in the game
file is bigger than I wanted it to be, but oh well..!

not going to debate it much, but as a casual game I wouldn't recommend it. high learning curve if you've never played it (or any mobas), over 100 heroes, learning roles, learning the game, learning how to play, so on so on..
(though obviously none of that happens in the first few games)
when I first played, it was basically "what items should I be buying... I have gold but I don't know.." for my first 20 or so games (I already played LoL before so I had some idea how to play)
just doesn't seem like a game you can pick up and play without knowing a bit. though you could play it, but. not sure if it would be fun not knowing how to play too well with 8 other and 3 depending on you to pull weight, though, since it's a co-operative competitive team game.
edit: plus you could ask what they thought

I don't have a gf, so I wouldn't know how to help you, sorry :(

Well, this is a long and complicated story, so I'll try to keep it short. But yeah, it did raise some questions indeed. We saw eachother a lot when we started dating, like 3-4 times per week (couldn't see more often because of my job). She told me when we had been together for like one month that she prefers not to see each other so often, because it will lose the "magical feeling", which I kind of agree to, as the wait is definitely worth it and I agree that it'd lose the feeling after a while if we'd see more often. I was very suspicious lately that she might have another guy, almost destroyed our relationship because of that. She has been cheated on before, and she has swore me so many times that she'd never cheat on anyone, knowing how it feels to be cheated on. I trust her and I don't believe she has another one. She just has so much to do (school/work, a horse, friends etc) so sometimes there's just really no time. We're not the typical couple and she isn't the typical "overly attached" girl, so yeah, it's complicated.

CS GO always relaxes me.
I would suggest Torchlight 2 or even Diablo 3. I know that my GF likes a game where you can "change costumes often"

HACKER!!!
;-)
Hahaha! Seriously, you must be pretty good, because I generally find online gaming deeply unpleasant, and the CS community pretty toxic.
Your girlfriend's criteria made me laugh. Should we put together a Kickstarter for Lady Gaga Concert Tour, the PC game?

WH, WH
Nah, I kinda suck, yes, the people can be toxic, but it just makes me laugh if someone can take the game that seriously.
That is not a bad idea, we will probably make millions of it :p

Kinda off topic, but consider yourself lucky having a girlfriend who games with you. I would be so happy if my girlfriend would game with me...
Edit: I guess I could suggest a few games then, even though they've probably been mentioned already.
Borderlands (1, 2, The Pre-Sequel)
Dead Space 3
Terraria
Dying Light
Dead Island
Payday 2
I'd also mention Dark Souls (all of them), but learning the game mechanics might take some time at first and the co-op system is sometimes a bit wonky.
