I played only the "black sheep" of the series, The Bureau: Xcom Declassified, and I must say I really liked it. Despite the terrible friendly AI, it's still fun and with a decent story.

I love Enemy Unknown/Within; it has an amazing plethora of content and there's a mod called Long War that gives it even more content. I've put about 30 hours into it and I'm nowhere near done with it.

i love all the saga, the old Ms-Dos games of Ufo an Xcom and the news. i'm a great fan of this kind of games. Ufo: Alien invasion is a good conversion from Ufo Ms-Dos game and is free. Only for Fans.

I've played all the classical X-COM games and the new one. Let's say - new XCOM is pretty good game, enjoyable, but... If you have nothing agaings playing old games, chenk out X-COM Apocalypse. That game is amazing. In that game you have to live among future corporations, and you'll face aliens unlike what you've seen before. They come not from outgher space, but from another dimention. And surprise! At sertain point, you'll be able to go in their dimention ourself, not for "Ze Final Mission", but just to invade and harras, as they did to you. That game allowed you to use big strike teams, with many people, and good-old action points system lets you do some neight strategies.

I went and got Apocalyspe on Steam before buyng that one bundle, so I think I'll do a giveaway of it soon.

The new XCOM is awesome. It's pretty hard though, and the random number generator will screw you. It's not a game you can rush in.
It's been a while since I played the old X-COM games (something like 10 years. No idea where they went now), but I remember them having a clunky interface and being very complicated.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown has a demo on steam. That's a good starting point to check whether the game feels right for you.
Not many modern games offers a demo anymore so check it out yourself :)
As for the XCOMs, I haven't played them. Though I have tried the demo of EU and I will definatelly get it sooner or later :)

Played all the old-school XCOMs and the new age XCOMs. Two different approaches to the game, but both beautifully executed. Been a fan since the first XCOM game and have since played followed and vented on every release which attempted to overthrow the reign of the original's success. Give it a try and you'd probably get hooked like most of the people who have tried it. =)

So I recently won a giveaway on Tremor Games for the X-Com Collection with X-Com Enemy Unknown. I'm not sure if I should activate it on my Steam, as I have no idea if I'll play it.
I'm not really a fan of strategy type games but I could be wrong about this one. I was actually planning on giving it away here on SG via the actual giveaways page rather than the forums (sorry :C) but I couldn't find it on the giveaway-making page.
Let's cut to the chase:
If you've played ANY of the X-Com series, did you like it? Any features standing out?
Thanks :)
