Do You Click a Banana? or maybe a Cucumber?
It's like the one million pixel website.
It's crazy how news websites report about this phenomenon.
One guys has an idea, makes a little fortune with trades (even the millions of traded trash skins earn him 1 cent every time).
Now we will see lots of me-too copies.
Soon it will crash like NFTs.
Who buys that trash?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2996990/Flag_Clicker/ - not mentioning items to sell yet but reviews are mentioning it's like egg and banana

Steam market doesn't show any "Flag Clicker" items?

You guys gotta think bigger. If we shitpost 100,000,000 of these games and get 1 item from each one in a day, you could become a millionaire in a day! Of course, this is based on you being able to install, open, close, uninstall, repeat this process 100 million times, but that's the easy part lmao.
Edit: Lets be honest, Valve allowing this is the biggest scam of it all. No matter how much trust you can have in a company, this should've been shut down like 15 years ago, these kind of games should've never showed up. But they enabled it, and to this day they've done nothing against it. We can shit on scammers scamming and being scummy and taking advantage of these exploits and gaps in the systems when they can, but don't forget who is the real enabler here. It's not like valve didn't know this would happen.

In a more realistic approach it is estimated this banana clicker could generate around 5,000 bucks daily for the developer.

That's probably true, then he spends around $1k daily on that buying different shit 3 cent bananas to keep the market going and the game looks alive and people look interested in the items and valve doesn't take it down cause they think it's good.
Wish we could go back to the early 2000's when not everything was about profit or even if it was, it meant delivering quality.

i did it for shits and giggles. made almost 2 dollars off a single banana. i can't really complain

Woohoo, just because of this we can't see who is buying your item on steam market, volvo disabled this option few weeks ago.

why report it though? just don't play it or buy the items

Not gonna answer this myself since I see this "game" as fraud and exploitation of weak minds.
Here, this is what ChatGPT tells (I was expecting more though):
If the entire concept of the game revolves around dropping items that can be sold on the Steam Market, and there is essentially no gameplay beyond minimal interaction (like clicking on a banana), this raises several points to consider:
Developer's Intent and Design: If the developer has intentionally designed the game to be a minimal-interaction experience focused on item drops for market sales, then players are not necessarily engaging in fraudulent behavior. They are using the game as intended.
Steam's Policies: Steam has policies against what it considers exploitative or abusive behavior on its platform. If Steam perceives that the primary purpose of the game is to exploit the market system, they might take action against the game or its developers. Steam could remove the game from their platform, restrict its market features, or ban accounts associated with perceived exploitation.
Market Impact: Games designed primarily to generate marketable items can impact the Steam Market's economy, potentially leading to inflation or devaluation of items. This can harm other developers and games that rely on a balanced and fair market system.
Community Perception: Such games might receive negative feedback from the community, which can impact the reputation of both the game and its developers. Players might feel that the game does not offer genuine value or entertainment, leading to negative reviews and reduced trust in the developer.
Ethical Considerations: While not necessarily fraudulent, creating a game solely for the purpose of generating marketable items can be seen as ethically questionable. It may be viewed as taking advantage of the Steam Market system and exploiting players who might not realize the true nature of the game.
In conclusion, while a game designed primarily for item drops to sell on the Steam Market may not strictly be fraud, it does raise several ethical and policy-related concerns. Both developers and players should be aware of the potential repercussions from Steam and the broader gaming community.

Think? Absolutely not. That would be wrong. I just tried to squeeze it to see if it can openly say fraud, but nope. It did a round expression just in everything it does. However it did raise the general idea. That's why I was expecting more from it. Also, I'm not a lawyer so not gonna write a paragraph long article here to provide evidence. I just stated my thoughts briefly.

Razer is officially doing a promo with the Banana game. When I saw first saw it I was really surprised and questioned if it was legit, but yup, after looking into it and talking with someone at Razer it's 100% legit.

not surprising after seeing all those companies that put time (i don't know if I would say effort or even that much money honestly) into NFTs because they just wanted a quick buck.

Banana gave new life to the NFT craze. This is first NFT game on steam that went viral. The influx of these types of games over the next couple weeks is more than likely going to be massive.
TBH I wouldn't even call Banana a clicker game as you don't really need to click, it's an NFT dropper/collector. It's a very simplied NFT dropper/collector too. The EGS has a ton of NFT games if you want to compare them.

Banana Cucumer isn't any more of a scam - they're all scams but none will harm you or your computer.
I click Banana, Egg, Cucumber, Beer Simulator, and Heart Clicker. Tried Surprise Egg but it seems to be broken for me. Gonna check out Flag Clicker.
All of these are really stupid but I like stupid econ bubble stuff.

I was getting drops last night 🤷♂️
I will say though it’s really not profitable, as I’m sure is obvious even from the outside. Even with a massive trading volume there’s far more items than buyers, and at a floor price of 1 cent for almost all items, it’s not really worth doing for money, there are better things to leave running for that. Also obviously skins for Rust/CS/DOTA and TF2 items are all far more valuable and probably more worth it if people are really desperate for steam cash.
