I am currently employed as a programmer for a small games company over the summer. This is the first vaguely substantial paid work I've had (I did the same thing last summer, but it was volunteering and I have done a couple of one off pieces of programming or animation, some of which were paid).
The rest of the year I'll be working on my Computer Science degree.

Well, I can probably tell you that I've been working on a couple of iPhone games (one of which was pretty far into development when I started on it, so I'm just adding features and optimising it, and the other of which I have started working on from nothing, which is really nice in that I can keep the coding conventions consistent and more bearable for me to work with). I probably shouldn't say much more than that though. :P

I was a professional skater until I broke a leg doing the 900 which led to our rap group reforming before we all separated a month later due to musical differences. Now I just bum around waiting for steams summer sale until I find my way again, its a hard life!

That's great! A couple of weeks ago, I was an intern at a second-hand shop in my city, and I spent most of my time in the book department. I met a lot of great people, and even though I was just there for 2 weeks, most of the workers were incredibly nice and helpful and we had really long and complicated conversations. Talking to people who is really interested in what you have to say is great! (And a great difference from school)

I guess the majority of the people here are too young to have a real job, but those of you that aren't, what do you work with? :)
