Though the past few years have seen it come earlier each year, so we could theoretically see it as soon as the very start of June.
Of course, if it follows the pattern of the last few sales, we'll see a 'leak' of the date within the next week or two :P

Actually developers already know the date for sales planning. :)
But dates don't really matter. It will come when it comes.
Edit: I'm not developer and don't know dates. I only know that developers know dates.

waiting on steam sale is a pointless waste of time, just buy the games you truly wish to play and support the game developers. if you have no money to do this, then why wait for a steam sale ?

So that those of us not wishing to spend over 100 bucks just on two games could possibly get those two games and even more?

me and my friends share steam library, (log into your account on your friends pc, and authorize that pc, when u are back home, authorize a specific user of that pc)
we take turns buying good/new games. we can not play at the same time together, but we can play the games of our friends when they are not online... (works perfectly on school rosters, irregular working days and vacation periods)
