I really enjoy Roguelikes. I already bought SHODN + the DLC this sale. Are there any other games I can't miss?

Shame Ziggurat isn't on sale. I strongly recommend that. Lowest sale is -66% if you want to keep an eye out for it.

In order of how much I would recommend them-

  1. Crypt of the necrodancer
  2. Binding of isaac rebirth
  3. Full mojo rampage
  4. Risk of rain
  5. Tower of guns
  6. Spelunky

There all the games that i've played on the sale. To be honest there doesnt look to be a bad game on the sale though so I don't think you can go wrong!

FTL is pretty fun if you can get used to it. I still can't get into it. Teleglitch is like a Die More Edition aka Dark Souls. Rogue Legacy is VERY fun and it has a pretty good side-scroller dungeon-crawler feel to it. The boss battles and character varieties are my favourite part of it.

The one roguelite(yes, that''s how it's spelled) I actually liked(Ziggurat) isn't on sale. Because...fuck logic. Can anyone tell me if Eldritch is worth my time?

Desktop Dungeons if you like thinking really hard about your next move.

If you haven't done it so far then buy One Way Heroics. It is pretty cheap and a wonderful game. One of the few roguelikes I actually played. And it was very enjoyable. Still haven't tried Our Darker Purpose although I have it already installed. It sounds interesting.

Dungeonmans, Dungeons of Dredmor, TOME, Shattered Planet, SOTS: The Pit and One Way Heroics are the only actual roguelikes on that list.

Steam really has a loose definition of what a roguelike is...

Wazhack.

No, I haven't got it (yet) but it's been on my wishlist for a little while now. If I buy something from this roguelike sale, that'll be it. Although that I'm kinda torn... I wanted to get Double Dragon Trilogy (week-long deal) but now that Wazhack is on sale too, I don't know what to do anymore. ;)

Rogue Legacy - for sure, I've spent some countless (well not so countless after all) hours playing it recently and it was really fun. If you like platformers it's a great one (much better than Spelunky imo, but I loathe Spelunky).
FTL - really, really cool, and it was updated some time ago so I got back to it and had fun with it again. Requires some micromanagement if you fancy that.
BoI - well, it's awesome.
Dungeons of Dredmor - more of an oldschool roguelike, if you like turn-based combat and want to laugh some during the game you can buy it. It has lots of replayability scenarios as well.
Don't Starve - it's more of a survival game, but yeah it features permadeath. It has a terrific atmosphere, the world presented by the creators is awesome and it makes you feel secluded and truly in some foreign lands.
Tales of Maj'Eyal - Haven't tried it yet, but it's in my backlog and it seems to be a really enjoyable roguelike.

I loved Rouge Lecacy , the only thing is some people find it easier if they play it with a controller , Myself I use the keyboard with no problems. This game was quite fun and I might just play it again once I get some free time
