Sure this all sounds phenomenal and there's plenty I'd buy on day 1 or happily double-dip, but this honestly doesn't really prove anything. There was that time Halo 3 had an entry...it's probable that Valve is well aware of Bad Rats' memetic reputation for poor quality too...

Why is that a problem? The SNES US release has a good nostalgia factor, but the iOS edition is a lot better. No more cheap glitches, bugs, a little more faithful translation, but the mechanics remained.

The Android one was ported from the iOS one.
And I don't know, the sprites that look closer to the original art design were a nice touch. Yes, very different compared to the old and familiar 16-bit JRPG models, but still somewhat closer to what the original team intended.

I'd hope they would have both versions in a steam release. I rather prefer the 16 bit neatness and charm so I'd probably prefer to emulate than play a remaster of that sort.

It's not really typical for Japanese devs. When they release an updated version, from that point they act like as if that is the only one they ever distributed.

Final fantasy ports from android and iOS got bad rep for poor quality. Have you seen FF5 for steam. The tiles that make the background don't match up at all especially when you look at it with a computer screen. And the hair of characters is typically whitened even if the character has pure black hair. Huge fan of Final Fantasy but these ones from mobile are so bad :( yet I will still buy them.(Ironically original SNES look fine on a computer and its from back in the day and tiles match up and have right hair color)

FFV? I only know of FFIII and FFIV on Steam, and they are the full 3D remakes. There, I can understand if people don't like it; the similar FFVI PSX release wasn't too popular either.

I would love a FFT remake (just all the visuals, keep the sountrack and exact game mechancies <well a few fixes/balance tweeks of course>)

That would be the game I would want made, the most.
Though an Ogre Battle game in the same veign as March of the Black Queen (NOT THE N64 PIECE OF SHIT), would also be welcomed.

no not really :P well now based on that picture it looks a bit odd :o as i said im not much into non steam games, heck i dont really play most of my steam games anyways so yeah >:< but getting ps/xbox exclusives for steam would be awesome. well id only want Forza and Gran turismo games, and maybe some Final fantasy thats not on steam yet :P

You will find a lot of sources, and people, that consider Journey "indie".
But Sony put the money on the table for it's development (and a lot of money).
Personally I can't consider that as an indie game. But's that just my opinion.
