I've already recommended Steamgifts to several of my friends for no reward just because of how great this website is. But it'd be nice to have a referral system in order to reward those increasing site's popularity. This could be done with referral links. For each user who joins through the link, the referrer gets +100P to their maximum point count for a week (making it 400 instead of 300). The more users join, the longer this bonus lasts.

I don't think many people will like the idea. Since it destroy the equality of point system which is currently distribute to everyone evenly.

Everyone has the chance to get the bonus, I don't see the problem.

What we really need is when you hide giveaways for a certain game it should say "Exists in account" if you come across it in a train.

Try SG Game Tags. It can display various tags like have trading cards, bundled, and hidden, which can help you not to enter hidden game giveaway. :)

I feel like 300p limit is more than enough, or maybe that's just me.

Nah, i'd say it's about right. Sometimes I keep staying at 200-300 points but then there are days when I struggle with points. For example when the 2K HB came out I couldn't enter for all the giveaways I was interested in. Spec Ops which is 30 points per giveaway, Duke Nukem Forever (which I ended up winning, yay) which is 20 points per giveaway and Borderlands Pre-sequel which is 40 points per giveaway.

Those three games ate my points really quickly. Plus there were giveaways for other games I was interested in.

Playblink got a ban from Steam or something because of the referral program.

That alone is reason enough to not have a referral program on SteamGifts.

So we have a rule that forbids those and you want that in the site? Doesn't make sense first of all, second of all - no way.

1:92 votes. I don't think I've ever seen such an united opposition to an idea, here on SG.
