The other thread does make it sound like thats plausable and they do own 2 out of the 3 games...
But if they thought thats how the site (& steam) worked, then why make a giveaway for a game they don't own?
Regardless no one has actually said they haven't recieved a key yet, so still a chance of an M. Night Shyamalan style twist.

I think it was just a mistranslation. Apparently the user only knows French but very little English. The French equivalent of "you are welcome" is "Il n'y a pas de quoi/de rien" which literally translates to "it was nothing (fixed, thanks PicoMan)

In Portuguese (Brazil) we also say something similar, after someone say "Thanks" you can reply with "Por nada!" or in a more informal situation "NĂŁo foi nada" (it was nothing), as in "There was nothing wrong with helping", it wasn't a bother, it didn't cost anything.

I really wish more newbies would bother to ask how SG operates before jumping to conclusions and getting quickly frustrated, we usually answer questions...

It may also be because Steamgifts doesn't have a very basic thing: a homepage to introduce the site to people who don't know it... No need to put much on this kind of page: a logo / a nice image, a short description of the site and links to more advanced explanations (guidelines, FAQ), and that would be enough.

True, but with how CG doesn't seem very receptive to change certain aspects of the site I don't see that ever happening, so all I can really do is wish that people were generally more patient and willing to dig a little more info in here before giving up. As I said, we usually try to help the newbies... even if it tends to boil down to telling them to please read the FAQ.
