out there is a lot of different division of continents, one america, 3 americas (sout, north, central & insular), and sometimes everything from mexico to Argentina (including islands, etc) are considered south america, so...

It depends in the division of the continents you are using, there is one America or three Americas(south, Central and North America) or Latin America and Anglo America.

And United States isn't everything of America...

No, because Europe is "2nd world" and we have to wait few more days. And that is just another form of xenophobia or something like that...
Non related question though: I have pre-order. Am I allowed (or justified) to download "backup copy" of game and play it already? :P For the record: I'm against piracy but that delay is just retarded...

I believe playing an unreleased copy of the game (for your region) counts as piracy as the title you purchased, er, the license, is not truly active yet.

Yeah, I put in a number of hours, burning a couple vacation days to plow through the campaign with some buddies that are doing the same :) So far so good though, best antagonist to a game in a while in my opinion
