Community manager for Gothic remake, TMoor usually has been positive on discord about release in 2024, but considering we still haven't seen gameplay trailer and all shared stuff seems like AI generated shit that has nothing common with original... I expect the worst from it anyway. So most likely they release some disaster, will be fixing it for year until fans create a mod that will do the thing.

Yeah i feel the same. I loved old gothic games (even if they werre bug infested), and i really hope the remake will not be an emotional roller-coaster like Bloodines 2 have been for me.

Streets Of Rogue 2, I just got back into 100%-ing Streets Of Rogue and it is so god damn fun. I am so hyped for it because of its open world nature and cars and stuff. Also in a dev log the developer said that there will be adjustable generation sliders or something of that sort so you can fully customize the map. Absolutely off the hook for this game. Also Kill It With Fire 2 seems cool too, but not as excited as for Streets Of Rogue 2.

My kind of gameplay. Both the world and the characters are gorgeous. Against my better judgement, I'm breaking my no pre-order rule for this one (last game I pre-ordered was Dead Space 2!). I think the main reason I'm pre-ordering is that I'm just really excited/happy to finally have a big Playstation game that's right up my alley.

I got Tomb Raider Remastered pre-ordered last year and have been slowly playing through it since it released a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with my purchase. It's actually the first (and probably last) time I've pre-ordered a game, and while the gamble worked this time I don't think I'll take this risk again because I was actually pretty nervous about the whole blindly buying something deal.

I'm also glad it worked out, when the reviews came out saying the remasters were really solid I sighed in relief. I took the gamble mostly because it was significantly cheaper than buying after release, both because Steam was removing regional prices for us back in November and also because it was 30% off for owners of the original games but only for early buyers, I think I ended up paying half or even less of what it would have costed me at launch. But that deep discount was what made me question if they were trying to pull a fast one on consumers, but it's apparently just Embracer Group being kinda desperate for money after a few games tanked last year.

I was so annoyed when they delayed Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 last year. I hope it still turns out good, though the dev was just spun off into a private company. I hope it won't affect the game, but we'll see.

If I'm not mistaken, the only games which weren't brought from Epic to Steam after a while are the Kingdom Heart games. And the same guys did Control, which also happened to be released on Steam after a while, so I guess it'll happen at some point.

Remedy made Control in partnership with 505 Games. They partially funded the game as well as provided marketing and publishing. Remedy, along the way, made a year-long exclusivity deal with Epic Games. Once that deal was over, on August 27, 2020, Control Ultimate Edition launched on Steam. If I’m not mistaken, Alan Wake II was funded entirely by Epic Games, which means they will probably get to keep it as a platform exclusive for as long as they want. Honestly, as a long-time Remedy fan, I hope they put the game on Steam. I won’t personally buy it on Epic Games Store.

I forgot to include their portfolio. (see attachment) This is from their Q3 2023 investor relations presentation. Thankfully, for Control 2, Remedy is partnering up with 505 Games again, although, I have to say, they’re not an A-tier publisher.

You’re most welcome. I personally cannot wait to play Alan Wake II. It’s been one of my highly anticipated sequels for many years. The ideal scenario for me would be getting it on Steam and playing on a top-of-the-line gaming PC. Neither are likely to happen anytime soon. I might get it on PlayStation. At least, I don’t have to worry about getting a smooth framerate, and the visuals look more than decent on either current-generation consoles.

I don’t mean to turn this into a philosophical debate, but the more I, personally, wait for something, the more I start to appreciate it because anything worth having is definitely worth waiting for. Besides, you never know what the future holds. I may not be alive tomorrow, or next week, or next year. At that point, it won’t really matter whether my favorite video games come out or not. So I saw this on another site a few days ago so I wanted to ask here.
What upcoming games are you looking forward to being re;leased?
I plan on getting Dragon's Dogma 2 this month myself.
Also the new Elden Ring DLC in June (FINALLY!)
On the side, at the moment, it's also Horizon Forbidden West but I might want to get a new pc soon or that too. >_<
