When it comes to digital games I primarily use Steam, Origin, GOG, and Amazon.

I do prefer to have my games on Steam, but it is hardly a requirement.

Hell no. First place I look for a game is gog, because they are awesome. But in general I only buy game if they are Steam, gog, Origin or don't require it's own platform (such as Capsule or U-play).

Steam > Desura / GoG
The rest not anymore.

If I can get it on Steam I do. I will still buy indie games and such that either can't cover the fees involved or don't want any sort of drm. I will not buy games on Origin or any of those other marketplace/launcher apps, one is enough for me.

For me it depends. I pick up a lot of stuff on Gog.com, and I'm building a decent Desura library too. Then there's stuff on Origin / Uplay, and boxed games that aren't associated with any distribution platform. My preferred choice is DRM free. I often double dip during sales though - if games are really cheap and I like them, I like to have them on different distribution platforms as "insurance" against hacked accounts/the unlikely event of a distributor going bust and shutting down their servers.

I try to get ones that redeem on steam, but if its cheaper somewhere else I'll take the deal.

steam, origin, or drm free.. in that order. i actually prefer steam or origin because of the auto patching/updates. but drm free is good too if it's a good sale

For digital copies, yes. The only exceptions would be games that I really want but aren't on steam, such as minecraft. If its a disc then I don't really care if the key works on steam. But in general I avoid digital games whenever possible, unless its a great deal such as humble bundles.

Mostly, but pretty much all games I'm interested in are available on Steam. Other than the BF series, but I survive :)

Although I clearly give preference to steam titles I don't buy them exclusively because of steam. Blizzard games (last one was Diablo 3), Minecraft, Project Zomboid, etc are some examples..

I try to keep my library to steam, but that doesn't always work out.

I like having a most of my games on Steam, but it's not an absolute rule for me. I play console games =D And there are good games off Steam, I enjoy me a little TERA Online, Diablo III, Gunbound, Battlefield 3. And definitely League of Legends.
