Looking for a very specific game

I want something like Dragon Age except no companions and a more active style of combat, I am think KOA:reckoning but I would love to find a game that is a bit less than 70 bucks, I have tried skyrim a few times and have had a real hard time getting into it so far. Does anyone have any great advice.
