I've been playing a bunch of the original again in anticipation.
It's great to see the game running so smoothly. But it actually looks like it will be harder without any lag. There will be a lot more twitch reflexes involved to dodge some of those incoming attacks.

They could make better resolution the textures instead of just making them bigger which looks very pixely.

For PlayStation 4, PS Vita and even PC the native resolution is 480x272. Why such an odd resolution? Aside from being the most versatile resolution across PC and most consoles with semi-16:9 screen, this resolution is a good fit for pixel art AND lets us we get everything we need on-screen in Rebirth.
So yeah, it's deliberate, and it looks awesome.

Like Borderlands 2 looks like the first Borderlands, but you have played B2 for twice the amount of hours you've played B1... that's what a sequel looks like, the "same" as the first one, but it's (usually) better.
And for the music... well, everybody doesn't have the same ears, so it sounds better for you, but I highly prefer the DannyB's music from the original Isaac.

finally, yes that is how sequels works, they suppose to add something different at least. from that video, of a beta (thing that i already state in the first comment) it doesn't look like a new thing, it looks like a re-boot on a new engine (what probably the title "rebirth" means) which is not a bad thing... but still, meh. i tough it was going to be a brand new approach to the original game. so probably i was wrong and this was supposed to be a re-boot an not a brand new game.
but still... meh
