So i today i logged into my account and went to market to purchase a shiny new AK-47 skin just to get this horrible message that my steam account has been limited because i didn't made a purchase between 30Days to One year, which is a total joke because i purchased more than 20$ games this month alone, right after that i calculated from my account details and found out that total purchases made by me during last year 26/4/2016 - 26/4/2015 are more that $600 excluding wallet purchase of around $200. Remaining i paid directly with my credit card, but now steam is telling me that they cant help me and i have to make some bs purchase i dont want, has this ever happened to anyone else? Is this a bug of some kind?

Some Purchases i made within last year, you can clearly see they are well within the limit defined of last year

My friend got this problem a few weeks ago (he also spends frequently). He said steam told him it was because his credit card is new (although he has been using the same card for the past year).

Maybe it's a problem with steam's database? But I guess there is nothing you can do.

I also got market restricted a while back for the same reason...
Try using the market on the Steam client, not on your browser, that fixed it for me

So it's exactly the same as what happened to me...
Just use the Steam client and wait for the restriction fo finish :\
(I had contacted support and they didn't help at all, like usual)

I use steam inventory helper on chrome to find out floot value of skins, some times you can get a really good skin in mw section, oh well that will have to wait i guess

And if you REALLY want to check floats, you can use this https://glws.org/
Just drag the inspect link into that page and it shows float and everything else

use browser for searching then, with all your addons etc and when you find something you want then just switch to client to make a purchase ;) Even with restricted market you can still easilly look through market ;)

Actually any purchase except market counts, like wallet purchase, steam store purchase, gift purchase and dlcs, this bug is only in browser though. I circled through that page too, since they mentioned calculation mistake, $800 spent in steam is a calculation mistake :/

yape steam client is fine, so im guessing something screwed up in browser. I havent tried clearing browser data and cookies because it will limit my account on browser which i mostly use. im using steam inventory helper a lot, if nothing works i will do that alas

It happens once in a while on the Browser. No idea why. It lasts me a couple or hours or it gets fixed after I log out/log in.

I'd suggest you try send the case to Gaben directly.
His email is gaben@valvesoftware.com.

I think I get this for using the market with winauth to authenticate all my market confirmations... or maybe for using steam inventory helper.. or both. I think I've had it twice in 3 months. Next expiration is May 5th. Then it will probably be one week after for my next Chrome market restriction.

Ok, what do you want us to do about it. You can use the client so do that and quit whining.
