Thanks to everyone that took part and added to my event, but the competition is not over yet. We still have to decide on who goes home with a gold medal. I picked a champion from each nation that participated, and then looked at their wishlists. The top most wanted game was also a game none of athletes had yet, so the choice was easy. To find out what they are competing for, check the bottom of the post.

Winner: Portugal!

That concludes this years events. Just trying to sort one key out that IG had messed up (if anyone has a spare key for Pixel Arcade that they want to trade for let me know), and waiting for one winner to log back on, but otherwise everything seems to be in order.

Here's the list of our final athletes and their entries that made them able to compete for a gold medal:

Too bad the Olympics get more and more overshadowed by politics (yeah, I know, not that new a development ;x), kinda dampens my enthusiasm a bit with every year passing... I might still try to watch some of it, thank you for the train :)!

I'm not really into sports but I do enjoy watching some of the Olympics, like gymnastics, because of the amazing physical ability. However I think the Olympics have been ruined by greed and corruption.

Oh, right - I didn't see many memories yet in the first few countries and assumed the plan was to put them here. To the copy pasta mobile!

I remember watching someone for 5 minutes, who trained 18 years for the Olympics. I cannot remember his or her name.
Then I read that some people waste half of their life playing video games. I do not remember who wrote that either.

so if you have never looked at the Olympics (I'm not sure if and what my country did there) is there a way to join the last GA?
unless you also count Winter Olympics, as that is what Austrians can.

Share some other great sporting event, and make it good. :)

And of course I count the winter olympics. Even this one. So you can wait until they start and share something from this year!
