Wow, I think you got it more or less as the gameplay seems to be exactly the same. The look was completely different though.
Maybe it was a clone of this game or this game is a clone of the mobile game I'm looking for but if nobody comes up with anything better I'll consider you are the winner.

I remember I used to play a game in my old Samsung (I believe) mobile, when smartphones weren't a thing yet or at least they didn't arrive here yet.
It was a game that came installed with the mobile, and it was about moving a character one square and then an enemy following you would move 2 squares. It was a puzzle game as you had to do smart moves to block the enemy somehow, otherwise it would reach you before you could reach the exit. MbxOp
