So I'm buying a console as a secondary entertainment system (PC as main). I plan on getting either a Wii U (for Super Smash, Mario Kart, Yoshi Wooly World and Super Mario) or an XBox One (for Shape Up, Just Dance 2015, Kinect Sports Rivals and Halo). Which should I get?

I'd go with Wii U. Just Dance 2015 is also coming to that as well.

Wii U would crush xbox one... or maybe we'll just refer to it as the Wii U...either way they both need work. Ill say Wii U has the funnier old classic games. Where xbone is just racers and shooters pretty much Xbox and the wii o0 no way

I have a general rule. Most A+ titles comes to PC that come to Xbox and Playstation. (Not all, but most.) You know how many Nintendo exclusive games come to PC? Mario games? No. Zelda games? No. Kirby games? No. Yoshi games? No. Smash Bros? No. Mario Kart? No. (For the record, I'm talking new games, not emulator.) So Wii U is best in my opinion. You don't have to have an Xbox One if you have a PC, but you really need a Wii U if you want Nintendo's console games.

But since the recent decline of Nintendo's stock, I can see PC or mobile ports of Mario and Zelda games on the horizon.

Nintendo's had many lows and highs, and it's never done so before, so I can't see them doing so now, especially when they're still in a good position as it is.

Yeah remember the VirtualBoy, never forget the red.

Also the E3 made people buy a Wii U from what I am seeing, Nintendo would not go PC...

Wii U's had trouble, but the 3DS has held Nintendo up pretty well, not to mention it has huge reserves of cash leftover. It could probably do a Wii U failure a few times over before becoming that desperate.

Wii U compliments the PC better if you ask me, most Xbox games are PC games, can't say the same for Nintendo...

Yeah Just Dance will be on the Wii U and aren't they making a Kinect for pc? So it's possible Kinect games might be ported eventually.

Sounds like "I'll buy Wii U and sit on the couch or Xbox One and be active", so I think for your health the Xbox is better.

Really, for me consoles are about the alternative experience. Sure there are exclusives, but I don't feel that it's worth getting a console just for them. If you can get a new style of games, that's something that's IMO worth it.

Wii U #1 choice! The games out now, and soon to be, will be far more worth your time considering you've already got a PC.

WiiU. The XBOne is kinda crappy in general, and there's a lot of PC crossover.
The WiiU will have some seriously worthwhile (imo) exclusives. Honestly, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Bayonetta 2 are enough to make me want a WiiU. Everything else is gravy.

It's worth noting that Wii U has Just Dance 4 Wii U and Just Dance 2014 Wii U.
Also If you purchase a MarioKart 8 Edition Black Wii U (I know EB Games does them atleast.) you will get MarioKart 8 and Super Mario Bros U and Nintento Land.

ON TOP OF THAT when you redeem the club Nintendo GameCube found inside MarioKart 8 online you can choose from 10 select games which you will be given on the Nintendo store FREE. Game List Here

"XBox One (for Shape Up, Just Dance 2015, Kinect Sports Rivals and Halo)."

Those are your reasons for eventual buying an One? There are enough equivalent games on the Wii U such as Wii Fit U, don't forget you can play every Wii game on the Wii U (Wii sports). As a PC player, the Wii U is the perfect addition, it currently has the most and best exclusives and many more to come (especially in 2015 I guess).
I wouldn't even consider getting a Xbox One, it just doesn't really offer anything. In a year or so you could think about the PS4 when more games are released, I like their exclusives and the console in general better.

I am myself a PC Gamer and planning to get a Wii U sometime soon.

I have a Wii U 1.5 years but is packed in the original package... the most boring console without a doubt. The games i bought was Batman arkham city , Assassin's Creed 3, Rayman Legends, Deus ex HumanRev, some titles already have in my Steam library, the only game i finished and enjoyed is Batman. I prefer the other games to be played on PC by miles.
Buy it only for the exclusives and only for that. PC, XBOXone and PS4 has better performance.

Sonething for you Desuras: 6MMBT-YQ5EI-W3T03-VSXAO-SDV4A

You bought a Nintendo console and decided to go with games that are better on the PC for it, thats why you are bored.

You should try some Nintendo titles :-)!

Strange list of games to buy for a Wii U in my opinion. I would go for Super Mario 3D world, Legend of Zelda: The wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3 etc. Depends on what you like I guess but if you bought a Wii U for third party games then you'll be dissapointed yeah.

Thanks, yup its strange list but i wanted to test the machine, oh and i don't like Mario titles :P.
Like i said above im waiting for a decent Zelda-Metroid but takes too long and i don't see my money worth.
The touchscreen in the controller is really bad, not responsive with poor quality and make some games terribly hard to control, like Rayman Legends.

Buy a XBOX One. The Wii U is a new console but the components have the power of an old generation console (Xbox 360 and PS3 not Xbox One and PS4)

It's more powerful then a 360/PS3 and has a whole different experience with the screen, its not really comparable. kinda like saying the Wii is just like a PS2/Xbox....

So the Wii U and Xbone have something in common: At release they were already last-gen because of the bad hardware used in them

Wii U, because Microsoft deserves failure for trying to strip all rights from consumers while spying on them in their homes.

Already having a PC, games on the Xbox one will probably be more of the same. The Wii U will allow you to get a different gaming experience than what you're getting on the PC and most of the first party Nintendo titles don't have an equivalent anywhere. (Plus you can play the original Wii catalog on it too)

Due to my personal tastes and interests, a better question would be Wii U or PS4, due to them actually getting exclusives that are not on the PC. The Xbox One simply does not interest me for that reason, most of the titles it brags about are on the PC. The only thing I would look forward to is the Halo franchise. The Wii U has a lot more going for it. It lacks in third party support, but I doubt you are buying a console for that, considering whatever third party is on the Wii U is likely also on the PC. If you have enjoyed Nintendo games in the past, go for the Wii U. As said many times, it is mainly reliant on which platform has the friends and which ones don't. If your friends are on the Xbox One, guess which console you would have the most fun with? Yup.

Wii U or PS4

Theres no reason to buy an Xbone over a PS4, the PS4 is far more powerful, cheaper, better controller and doesn't look like a 1970's VCR.

I think,

PS4 for exclusive JRPG,

Wii U for exclusive Nintendo and Crouch Party games,

XBox One for shooting exclusive games.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
