Whitelist has the conveniency of not using up one of the maximum 1000 steam group slots.
But then you gotta add everyone to the list.
I'd say it's a more personal thing.
As a group you can track your stats on steamgifts(not sure if you can do that with whitelists).
And everyone who joins, if they wish, they can make giveaways for the group.
If the group isnt restricted, anyone can join.
I'd prefer whitelist as it would to go a much smaller userbase, having a bigger chance of winning.

You know you can do both, whitelist AND steamgroups, right?

Hey
I’ve been doing some public giveaways lately and I’m planning to do some more regularly as well as hold some more for my group only. I'm just wondering what you guys prefer? whitelist only giveaways or steam group only giveaways? Please let me know, your opinion is important to me.
