RPG is the best genre! I have played skyrim and witcher 3 for many hours :) I am crazy D: Should I be admitted in the group?

Actually I play almost exclusively Turn Based Strategy and RPG games. Every once in a while I'll play other games. My Steam games list is deceptively weighted due to idling, offline play, and games sitting open for days at a time. RPGs were my first love - I've been playing them since I got my first Apple II more than 30 years ago.

Comes down to two factors; Lack of money, and a lack of a decent computer.
I made a steam a few years ago but decided to it wasn't for me, because I couldn't load many games on my horrible old dell. I've always been a console gamer growing up (my dad owns a pawn shop and got me all the games for cheap, it was an amazing deal!), So all my rpg games were obviously on the console.
I just got back into steam 4 or 5 months ago (to lazy to look), and I got addicted quick! (as you can probably tell). Problem is, replace the horrible old dell I used to have, and insert a horrible old Toshiba I now have. That is probably why you will see that most of the games I play are older games, rpg maker games, or small indie games. It's because I cant run much of anything above that lol
BUT there is a happy ending because my friend and I just ordered a gaming pc this weekend, and we will have joint custody of that and I can play all my bigger games that I've been dying to play.
sorry if you didn't want a long story, it was just hard to answer in a sentence or two. Anyway I change my mind about joining, because I like to join clubs for fun, and not if there is any suspicion on if I'm joining to leech or not.

No worries. Like I wrote elsewhere in the thread, I'd like this small group also be active discussing RPGs.
It's not just about the giveaways. What I was trying to say was that if you don't play RPGs on Steam, you probably won't have anything to say about them.

Great story, I give it 8/10. I know how much it sucks not being able to play all the games you want because of an old PC. Now that I have a new one that can run pretty much everything except the most resource-heavy games I'm really enjoying myself. The only problem is that now I have too many games that I can play and have difficulty settling down with one, so I keep jumping between them.
Anyway, please do understand that since this will be a small private group Lengray just wants to make sure that everyone who joins really does have love for RPG's. He didn't want to offend you or something like that. So do re-consider joining as I'm sure you'd be welcome here.

Well im huge rpg fan.Well i was playing rpg games not from steam(you know how to do it).
But i want to play them in steam. You can see i newly bought stardew valley or pixel pirate etc (some rpg a like games)

There is still room but except Mass Effect and Fairy Fencer F, you don't play RPGs on Steam.
I don't want this group to only be about the giveaways but also about discussing RPGs. If that's not what you play most of the time, you won't have anything to write.

Playtime only tells so much. If you look, you'll see I own quite a few RPGs. That's not for show - the majority of said games I've already played in the past, but I also wanted to own them on Steam.
That being said, if my Steam history and my interest in discussing the genre are requirements for joining the group, then I'll excuse myself.

Hmm I thought I mouldnt join anymore groups but I like the concept of this one. Cant be helped, count me in! Also it seems alot of people enjoy RPGs (see poll) so Ill be making RPG GAs anyway, wouldnt mind sharing a few with you guys!

Don't forget that for most people RPG = game with experience points. This is why funny enough on paper it was the second most popular genre during the late 2000s to very early 2010s, when maybe half a dozen RPGs were released outside Japan, in total.

RPG and strategery are my 2 favorite genres. My time played on Steam reflects data about a year ago. Since then, most of my gaming has been offline and mainly from GOG. I spent much of last fall/winter with Witcher 3 which I bought there. And lately I've been playing Pillars of Eternity, also from there.
If accepted, I have Jade Empire in my Steam inventory to give away here. I ended up getting and playing that from GOG as well so thus this one is awaiting a good home.

Very good idea. Rpg and jrpg are my bread and butter genre. I have a vast collection of jrpgs for ps1, ps2, psp, vita, ds, 3ds etc. And still working on my backlog. I also try to get fav series on Steam and play them in spare time. My favourite rpg on Steam is Divinity 2 (100+ hours).

Hi all,
Since RPGs is my favourite game genre, I thought it would be a good idea to set up a steam group where only RPGs would be given away. That way, there's a much higher chance those games will be actually played by the winners and not simply gather digital dust.
I don't want this group to get too large so I'll cap it at 50 members for now.
There's also a discussion section with plenty of active members.
