If one is older than the other then i guess the socket for each of them is different, which is why they wouldn't fit : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU_socket

What CPU's are you installing?
What brand/model is your mother board?
Each motherboard has a CPU socket specification built either for AMD or Intel, and you have to research what socket will best fit your chosen CPU.

Welp it seems that no cpu will fit in my mobo even though they previously fitted and have the same manufacturer ( one cpu is older then the other)
and i believe its broken
