On a scale from 1 to potato, how much do you like cucumbers?
I don't like anime, but there are a few movies that I've watched and enjoyed a lot, like Paprika, Perfect Blue, Children Who Chase Lost Voices and some of the Studio Ghibli movies

I 2nd both Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (aka Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo).
I remember watching Summer Wars (both times) during Toonami's December Month of Movies.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was also another very good movie too.

Hmm... Maybe Steins;Gate? The series is terrific, the movie not so much, but it's still pretty good. However, it'll be quite a bit confusing if you haven't watched the series first (which I highly recommend... Damn, it was so good).

Yeah, there is! I think there's a special episode or something else as well, but for some reason I could never find it anywhere...
I heard they are working on a sequel(?) to Steins;Gate, too. Hype! :D

I suggest "Eve no Jikan". It's a slightly futuristic movie about artificial intelligence. It's very nice and not well known.

I love Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki's works. The best in the industry if you ask me. (No particular order)
There's a short anime with extremely realistic art, Garden of Words 2013.
I know you said no series, but if you change your mind: (No particular order)

Beck was amazing. Totally second this for series watching.

Movies don't mentioned previously in this thread and you should watch:
Be careful with Satoshi Kon, because you will not understand nothing the first time you see some of his movies (that is good for me at least, but you have to watch his movies carefully). But Tokyo Godfathers is the exception.

Millennium Actress
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya
Perfect Blue
Whisper of the Heart
Paprika
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Redline
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Ghost in the Shell
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
5 Centimeters per Second
The Garden of Sinners
Wolf Children
The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya
I left 2 Ghibli movies on this list, one of them is quite recent and the other is highly underrated
Don't really know what kind of movies you enjoy more, so if you need to know a little more about the ones here, i can add some info

The movies are great, but the series are where it's at.
The Animatrix is classified as Anime and is a must see if you're a Matrix fan. (I suspect you've already seen it)
The Macross series of movies don't seem to be mentioned so I'll add that. (Again, I think TV series are actually where Anime excel.)
