It'll be ten years since I joined in just under two months, time flies. I don't think I'll be able to make much of a celebration tho since my keys' stash was rather empty last time I checked and my country imposed a 100% tax on digital goods some days ago which is a bit too steep if you ask me.

Argentina, and the reason is a very complex and long series of economic crises that at this point are more of a complete collapse, the government became desperate and started doing anything they could think of to stop USD from leaving the country due to a serious scarcity of dollars. And it does look like things are only gonna get worse and worse.

Technically speaking this is the third serious economic crisis in here during my lifetime (I was a newborn during the first one but I'll count it anyway), and I'm barely in my mid-thirties, so I think I'll manage :P

It was actually around 65% tax until a week ago, it's not like it went from 0 to 100 in one go, more of a slow climb over the course of about 5 or 6 years. But I was paying 0% tax back when I started using Steam, and games have never been the main target of these changes (pretty sure the government still gives zero fucks about video games) but rather they're just collateral damage of their true objective, streaming services.

Exactly how I found it! I was wondering what "giveaway" and "SG" meant in some reviews and somehow a few weeks later I saw the whole name. I didn't join until one week passed, tho. Those were very hard days for me, joining SG was yet-another-attempt at keeping active somehow. It worked for about 3 months. But 4 years later I still come to SG daily.

I barely enter givewaways anymore. I am here for giving away games occasionally, and bundle checking etc. I just figured that i won't ever win an AAA game that i actually want to play, so.
