Steam client should have a similar feature integrated already.
It would be nice not to need a 3rd party app for cleaning up that files.

Yes. But Steam client should do a lot of things, and I don't get the sense Valve gives a rip. I suppose I should just be glad it doesn't randomly log me out (very often anymore)...

Some years ago I read of a same kind of Steam Cleaner on the old Steam forums.
I tried it and got a lot of GB free because of all the same and older versions of Directx, Nvidia drivers, Microsoft stuff and the like.
The thing with that cleaner was that when a game was updated or when there was a verification of the game cache then all the deleted files were downloaded again.
