ya.
Some people buys those 0,xx games because "why not? it's so damn cheap" but if you make the calculations you're just wasting a ton of money every year which you could have better spent for something you really wanted to play, or something more worth your time.
Some of those cheap games are definitely worth though, just not most of the greenlight crap that can't sell unless given out in bundles.
So the problem isn't how much you spend over it, but if you spend it for something you actually want. The same reason why I don't even bother to enter giveaways for games that I'm not interested in, here.

i'm not interested by GTA but i agree with doslover, it's always a better choice to buy just one game you'll play than 70 you won't

Get Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition and Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Experience as well while you're at it!

I say the correct answer is buying 70 games, but all of them as gifts for giveaways. :D

I don't see the point of neither choice as it seems like a waste of money in both cases, but that's just me.

If you really want to play GTA V more, then go for it. I have a problem with collecting cheap games too - many of them I know I may never get to. I'm going back through my cart and culling right now. There are so many games that I think would be cool to try, but I'll just never get to them. For example, Talos Principle is a game I know I should really get to (it's about $10 now), but I find it hard to pass up some really cheap deals (that add up to more than $10). I'm forcing myself to rank the games in my cart, and to remove those at the bottom. I try to tell myself to save some for the next sale, and there's going to be alot of new games come out between now and then.

Oh, if only I had your logic. The top 10 of my Wishlist would be gone then.

Games you will play, regardless of what anyone else thinks of the game, is the game you should buy.

I've come to realized that it's way better to spend on one game that you would play instantly (even though it's a bit expensive) rather on tons but with odds that you won't be playing them anytime soon.

As the Steam Winter Sale nears it's end I was loading up my cart with the usual anything on sale under $1 and it started racking up quite high (about $75). Most of these games will likely not even get played any time soon and even though it certainly would boost my game count (I've considered myself more a game collector than a player these days) I suddenly realized I could spend less than half this much and get GTA V finally as it's on sale for $29.99. Plus I'd still have over $20 left in my Steam Wallet for some other games I've been wanting to play but haven't because they either didn't end up in a bundle or were not below the $1 buy point or $5-$10 if I really wanted to play it.
So I emptied the cart filled with over 70 games and only bought GTA V and will probably use the leftover money to buy some games that I've been meaning to get and play rather than just increasing my game count (although I'll still probably get plenty of those from bundles anyways.)
