Interestingly enough I didn't find this post to insult anyone or am I missing something?
I guess you could some up the post as not liking the mentality "shoot first, ask questions later". Ban is in order of course, not knowing rules does not count as an excuse, but the witch hunt thing is not tolerable. People, please report and let the mods take care of stuff, no need to get personal.

fair enough, I can see how "useless human being" literally is offensive. I somehow read the sentence in context that "this type of behavior is discouraging and useless" as in going your way to insult random people over the internet is not very meaningful.
Comment has been collapsed.
That obviously refers to
"But the most ridicolous ones have been the italian users, coming from my same country, writing offensive things about being poor or making jokes I couldnt answer to..."
I mean, it's even in the same sentence.

He didn't insult anyone specifically.
I also find people that spend their time bashing others useless.

I don't know what happened exactly, but of course they shouldn't insult you. A warning could be just fine, but you should have expected your suspension. It's obvious that begging for games is a bad thing to do. I mean, there are people outside that are begging for some food and I would gladly help them, but seeing people begging about games is just plain stupid. What I'm saying is generic, because as I said before, I don't know what exactly happened with you.

Did you even read what he wrote?
He made a mistake and then people started stalking him and sending vile messages on his steam account.
If you think reflecting on behaviour like that is "crying a river" I hope no-one ever needs help from you.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's not witchhunting when you sh`t on forums and brake the rules, and people just go through your steam link in your sg profile to express their opinion. The fact that you doesnt understand it and complaining about it is the reason of my messages itt
Comment has been collapsed.
So it's okay for you if people follow others on to their Steam profile and message them there?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, if you find online harassment is fine then that's your view. Must be a cultural difference. I for one don't think it's okay.
Let's just leave it at that.
Comment has been collapsed.
IMO it's obvious he's referring to people who messaged him on his Steam account.
That's just like xbox live or PSN where people will go out of there way to send their hate messages, either per PM or voice message That is surely not normal or acceptable behaviour.
Edit: Just to clarify. We're having a discussion or difference of opinion in this thread, which is fine. What wouldn't be good is of one of us then sends messages to the others Steam account.

i did the same thing when i joined SG , but just got some nice 32 blacklists and a delicious 5 days ban
most of the people that blacklist other just because they disagree about something are just some butthurt people , and who blacklists other just because a common mistake needs to know that humans make mistakes
Comment has been collapsed.
So, did I get it right? You were begging, and you see nothing wrong about it apart from being forbidden by the rules? And then you call people who don't like it childish?
Neat.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about - you have no idea(
Comment has been collapsed.
Honestly, your post sounds like an exaggerated reaction as well. I admit I have seen only the thread and not your profile so I have no idea what was written there, but you are insulting them (and not only them - you are insulting whoever just decided to blacklist you and have not insulted you in any way) pretty heavily (in my opinion) in your post.
But also I had the occasion to see how much people rely on their digital lives behind a pc, and how many cowards are out there.
People mocking me for my english or the words I used, while they could not say a word other than their nativa language.
People writing me on steam chat or in the comments section, and than blocking me so I could not answer back.
And many kids blacklisting for a genuine error, like they spend their whole days searching for people to flame with, feeding their rage against life behind a computer.
User writing me "OMG YOU ARE GOING TO BE BLACKLISTED"...well...some people like me just couldn't give a lesser f''k about things like these.
But the most ridicolous ones have been the italian users, coming from my same country, writing offensive things about being poor or making jokes I couldnt answer to...they are most discouraging and useless human being I could see on the internet.
Also, when you are perfoming an action that most people view as annoying, you can't expect all people to smile and be nice.

I find the two things very different. I did not add, name, bother or insult anyone on purpose, so one can just ignore my post and not care about my opinion honestly.
Yours is not the first post of this nature on these forums though, and it's harder to ignore something when you see a lot of it. So I'm not surprised that people reacted very negatively towards your attempt at begging, they are simply sick & tired of seeing these kinds of posts.
I'm not condoning insulting you on steam though, but the reaction you got here on SG was really to be expected.

Since the OP is the one bringing it up, calling out is bypassed.
Have a read: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/qZ4YF/help-with-bundle-is-this-called-crowdfunding-xd
It's not, say, 'oh fuck you're an ass' behavior, but it was definitely fully inappropriate conduct, not an 'oops, I see how that could have been misunderstood'.
The initial bit was disdainful, but non-offensive. This post filled with blame and insults and a lack of taking responsibility I find less agreeable, even if the phrasing successfully hides any outright spite.
Comment has been collapsed.
Now you're just not taking responsibility for your actions.
Then again, your OP is much the same way.
I can't attest to the behavior of people off of SG, but, lets recap:
You could have left things that happened on Steam, on Steam, reporting to Valve as necessary [and hoping for the best].
Rather, you're making a post solely to vent and to promote drama, seemingly addressing only SG's userbase directly, and then saying 'oh, but my attacks are just generalized and despite obviously targeting the individuals who disagree with me, it's their fault if they don't ignore my post and take offense from my harsh words'.
If you want respect, you start with an apology, then you explain your viewpoint clearly, and then you carefully note any secondary circumstances while being careful not to over-emphasize and misdirect the hostility. Then you accept that there will be feedback you will need to acknowledge and respond appropriately to, rather than dismiss off-hand.
You oughtn't, however, make a post that seems to put all the blame on everyone else and is filled with petty insults, regardless of how they're directed.
Perhaps it's all dealing poorly with frustration [perhaps well-earned, if the individuals you refer to behaved as poorly as you say], mistakes, and misunderstandings!
But at the moment, the behavior we've interpreted is worth taking disagreeably.
And until you can respond with an actual apology and attempt at mutual understanding for a change, we're only going to keep interpreting it as that.
Also, don't worry about who is blacklisting you. Everyone has differences in perspectives, and up to the point that it directly interferes with your morals or lifestyle, you ought respect those perspectives.
In other words, let people manage their giveaways the way they want to. Take pride in being [the characteristic they dislike] or acknowledge it's a trait you ought change.
Don't be petulant and treat blacklisting as a misdeed, that you need to repeatedly disparage and then snidely give permission for.
Had you been as mature as you claim with your persistent attribution of youth to those disagreeing with you, then you'd have apologized and clarified your perspective and allowed people to actually see it was a genuine error.
You wouldn't go out of your way to insult them for taking an action that in no way harms you, and certainly isn't as foul as you attempt to portray it.
That is to say:
insulting me without any reason
So no.
I've blacklisted you because in the other thread and in this one, you've behaved with a remarkable lack of respectful conduct, with a pronounced disdain for others and their perspectives, and with hypocrisy throughout. Regardless of my lifestyle or other traits, be they meritorious or of a contempt similar to what you portray, the basis for your blacklisting is quite reasonable.
Again, you ought change how you're perceived, rather than reaffirming the negative opinions toward you by continuing with the same behaviors.
That is to say- my post very clearly defines the expected manner of response to it.
Whether you choose to abide by that, or not, is certainly up to you.
Getting surprised or offended by a predictable response would be senseless, so please do refrain.
P.S. The harassment sucks. Humans suck, life sucks. Most of us wish that wasn't the case, but it is. Take a breath, do something relaxing, and accept your limitations in doing anything about it. Then, strive to be better than those people, rather than behaving similarly.

> Our interpretations on your quality of response differ.
> You shouldn't have needed to know the rules, the issue is with the behavior itself, not the rule-breaking
> You're being blacklisted for your conduct and attitude, not any mistakes you made.
> If you don't see why you ought apologize, regardless of how amicable we may become, our views are too disparate for compromise. The end result would still be the same on my part, blacklist and deliberate lack of further interaction.
> You're using evil wrong.
> Well, we can agree that revenge-blacklisting is typically a bad judgement; Though in the case of incompatible personalities or perspectives, I do find it to be suitable.
> As I tried to note, though perhaps not clearly enough, a lot of the issues may simply be in your presentation [though the pettiness of your insults isn't able to be excused as simply being poor phrasing].
Should you wish to try and reformat your post to better convey your perspective, I'd certainly be willing to reconsider it.
But your current presentation is lousy, and really gives a poor impression of you. :P

Though my views differ from yours somewhat, you prove again that you're entirely worthy of whitelisting :3

Following an SG user to his Steam account deliberately to heckle and insult him over a site infraction (as claimed in the post, at least) does sound fairly childish to me.

Oh, my mistake, wrong word. Yes, I know, but the moment I write that message it get out of my head)
Thank you very much for telling me.

"Complaining" or "moaning" would be better words. Not that I agree with you. If someone is stalked & insulted on their Steam account by people from here for whatever reason they have every right to complain about it. His choice of words is another thing.
Anyway, my point is if people are actively discouraged from voicing something that happened to them then nothing will change for the better.
Comment has been collapsed.
didn't know about the rule
To be fair, in every jurisdiction I can think of, ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it. While that does not excuse the actions of others towards you and how some surely went about it, the concern is still valid. People on the internet are just that; people. You can't expect everyone you meet to be enjoyable to be around, and you have to get over that. It suck, but that's life.
Comment has been collapsed.
And many kids blacklisting for a genuine error
You know what the problem is? People don't know it's an error. For all they know you are a beggar and a rule breaker. Honestly, I probably would have blacklisted you if I saw that happening.
they are most discouraging and useless human being I could see on the internet
So you're complaining about being insulted and then start insulting others. Good job!
Comment has been collapsed.
exactly. The reason other's gets annoyed of beggers, is because there isn't too few of people who want others to give them everything for free.
Comment has been collapsed.
The site is about giving games for free. But beggars don't won't to have an equal chance like everybody else. Beggars what to personaly receive free games without entering thousands of giveaways or contribution to the community. Nobody like those people- not here, nor in real life.

Actually his complaint isn't about the ban or the rules. It's about the people from here who went to his Steam profile page and posted a bunch of shit on it for breaking the rules and getting suspended, mocking his lack of English skills (it's not his native language), threatening to blacklist him, and then blocking him so he couldn't even reply back to them. I think I would be a bit pissed off too if people from here did that on my Steam profile page. He received and served his punishment and knew why he was suspended. There was no need for users from here to do that.

Let us join ddc92 on his noble quest for more blacklisting.

You seem like an okay person. But posts like these are ill-advised. Every community has toxic members. It's best not to extend the life of a drama-bomb by needlessly picking a fight with people, especially if your post may easily be misinterpreted regarding whom you're talking about. I see you made things clearer in your response to people who took issue with what you said but it's pretty easy to interpret your OP such that you think that anyone who disapproved of your error was a "coward" who "spend[s] their lives searching for [reasons to start shit with someone". And most people aren't going to read an entire thread of nested replies to get a clearer sense of what you mean. They're gonna see possibly dividing SG into nice people and flaming trolls and just go for the blacklisting.
P.S. Try to avoid being that guy who points out multiple times that he's a polyglot and others are monoglots. It reeks of elitism. English is the only language that matters here. Belittling those who belittled you doesn't help anything.
P.P.S. Don't Wall of Text and then try to sneak in a "I don't care". It's not a credible claim.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's no problem. You're good people.
I'm on a few blacklists myself. I seems to likes to argue and it don't always sit right with people.
Comment has been collapsed.
Don't really understand why you created this topic. Maybe you actually care about your "internet life"?
Keep calm.
Create/win giveaways.
Try to ignore negative feedback if its unjust.
Also read FAQ after registering on a new site :) Some members of community treat those rules really serious :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Some people is like that....57 blacklists is not that much..i have near 30 and i dunno why so :p. People will blacklist and flame for anything...Your real problem was not reading FAQ.....If you are interested in one site like you were here...games sended, and won...you have to read the FAQ...that was the first thing i read when i entered here, of course i could make a mistake and get suspended...life is like that. so don't be so hard with yourself... bad people are everywhere... cheers :D.
Comment has been collapsed.
Do yourself a favour. You've vented your anger, got some good answers and not so good. Close the thread as nothing more needs to be said IMO.
Otherwise it'll end up being a fest for trolls
Edit: And read the Faq ;)

I think he didn't refer to everyone. Just the ones that are toxic online to others and use their time actively doing so.
Comment has been collapsed.
okay if i understand you right..you where suspended for begging..and the only thing you write about it, is that these ppl that reported you have no real life etc.
Okay..yes there are ppl that really have no life and think play internet police is the sense of their life and they feel important...but seriously..that is not new and who cares??
You accuse others of having no life and you do the same..you make a thread about a suspension on an internet site...where you don't know anybody nor will ever meet someone from...so you really couldn't care less.
Comment has been collapsed.
You don't understand him right. It's the people who followed him on his Steam account and messaged him there.

okay right..forgot about these..yes this is really silly..but making a forum post about it is the same, this is the internet....so he should move on.
