I think it would be a good feature to warn of a game removed from the Steam store (or doesn't have it's own a page) on the GA page. I don't know if it is possible for the system to do this.
I'm imagining something under the title or near the entry button such as "Game removed from the store - Check your game library!" or somewhere noticeable on the page. I think this could prevent a lot of rerolls, especially when the GA creator doesn't warn about it in the description or a high comment doesn't mention it either. And I imagine most users don't check every game they enter.

I figure this could be a good feature, especially with the large amount of games being removed recently from a few devs.

Don't enter everything? it takes one click to open the store page of a game to see if one is interested in it or not, owning it or not.

It's even easier when you have EGST, because these usually give you 0 CV and are considered "packages" or come up with no game tags, which is a dead giveaway.

Or just use this, it tells you if you already own the product even if it's removed from steam or DLC.

Yeah, just use an autojoiner and then complain about having problems that could be avoided by even looking at what's happening at the site :D
I'm not asking to not to make things simpler. But not knowing what the game is, or it not having a storepage suggests that a user haven't even looked past the thumbnail and just enters every bloody thing, a behaviour that's you're familiar with as well :^) It's so easy to claim that I'm the eeevil guy who doesn't want to help everyone saved a previous 5 second for each giveaway. Yes, rock me. I don't want the site to further cater to people who just want their asses to be serve arond, while they don't even check what they enter for, but then they make a riot if it turns to shit.

This completely misses the point of gift giveaway site.

Someone pays for presents, and it is more than money. A beautiful intentions. Others who can not do a single click, don't invest time in deciding if they want the gift either, nor they make use of won gifts. Living impersonated graveyards of small generous intentions. Living, moving, talking s*** holes.

No, I didn't speak of anything ordinary.

It is convenient to exercise auto-joining (which is btw subject to suspension) and other manifestations of reproachful behavior and hide behind saying that this is 'ordinary, casual', 'a lot of people do so'. Dishonesty, lies and thievery are as 'casual' in our world. Doesn't make these things right. Nor right is to propagate this putridity everywhere.

This was addressing original. Auto-joining only allows clowns who think they are more clever than others, to gain advantage over users who don't use bots/scripts. Even if you say that 72k GA entries in 2 years are not due to auto-joining, it is not the point, other manifestations of reproachful behavior include everything mentioned above.

Not everything can be specified in rules. If attempts were made, it could quickly become for most impossible to follow.
Now it is hiding behind 'what is not prohibited, is allowed', and also saying that CG wishes by design of site for every not explicitly prohibited thing to happen. From my point of view it is simplistic greed and attempts to employ anything to be responsible for own choices.
I don't demand anything from site. But users clearly didn't agree to be compensated for presents by pitiful CV in a 'trade' manner, even if you would like to think so to clear your conscious.
Users are only offered a platform to share gifts. And it is just too heavily abused. Issue is not even money-profit makers.. but this whole mindset of accumulating things which are considered "free" when they are not; and not looking beyond oneself when in gifting there is also another person involved.

Thanks for this detailed answer. It included new things to me. So different expectations and assumptions we have.

But you know, imagine how would life look like if everything around would be on responsibility of such people, who could never do right/noble/kind things until facing iron laws and punishments? Only seeking for own gain/caprice. Worse than pack of jackals. World is currently far from the worst and it is people, boiling down to each of us, who choose direction.
And messages that it's fine to succumb to simple profiting etc., coming from everywhere, make others who don't have strong opinions believe a bit more and more in this. These voices are weak, but numerous. Are you aware that defending all this you contribute to building community of such people? I bet you wish e.g. your local governors to be different, and close ones not to be jackals; but good things don't appear out of the the blue.
