Will you be R[a]ising Hell tonight?
Pissed if you don't like indie hack & slashes, praise if you do, and many others would whine that IGN man bad since this obviously proves that bundle quality will never be like the good ol' days.

This is nearly as good as April choice at half the price imho

Agree, i was wondering if Fanatical would release a bundle right away now to compete with the monthly. But i'm not sure it's competitive, maybe Neverinth ?

Their Slayer and All Star type bundles when they come out seem more competitive against Humble Choice than stuff like this. Also, Fanatical's "monthly" bundles tend to be Platinum type pick & mixes, which might compete against Choice for bundle noobs but not everyone else like us.

Yes, if Fanatical did this, they would have to assemble a new sort of bundle to compete. They could include some games from their recent bundles. Let's imagine Fanatical monthly : "The council, Pine, Abandon ship, pendragon, overboard, over the alps, suzerain" And leader : "The pedestrian". Price : 12-15€ ? :D

the most important thing that is often lacking in Fanatical bundles are AAA hits when they're relatively new and showcases like Borderlands 3, Mafia Definitive Edition, Control, Dark Souls 3, Mass Effect etc. Indie games sure, it does at times compete with Humble Choice to some degree.....

the most important thing to mainstream gamers that is often lacking in Fanatical bundles are AAA hits
FTFY - There's many people who don't care whether a game in a bundle is AAA or not and gamers just want the games they want based on their highly subjective gaming preferences. AAA is now more reference to budget spent on marketing & dev, and it is no longer synonymous with quality like it used to be 10 to 20+ years ago.

yup...big budget games from major publishers is exactly what I meant (included examples above). Elderborn and Dark Souls 3 are both similar games yet one is arguably a bigger crowd pleaser. One is an indie title with much smaller scope and scale while the other is basically fan favorite from FromSoftware.
AAA games are more important than ever for Humble Choice to succeed (thanks to tough competition and more value for money in Xbox Game Pass). The amont of hype for certain bundles exceed a lot more compared to bundles with niche, smaller indie titles.

With bundle title like this, I was 100% sure there'd be Dungeon Souls in it.
Glad I was wrong, since this seems pretty alright.

It's a good bundle, but I have to say Fanatical marketing priced this one really high compared to what they normally do. The pricing for this would normally fall into the $4 or $5 bundles, like a Reaper bundle or a Killer Bundle without the AAA game in the t3 spot, but even the T3 spot doesn't get as high as $8.

It doesn't look bad, but I'm not sure if there is anything in there that makes me want to spend $8 for more games that will sit in my backlog. I do have one of those Spin-to-win coupons, though, so I might end up with this if nothing better comes along before it expires.

None of those games are on my wishlist, four seems interesting, but would possibly go straight to my backlog. Do I really need more games? No. Am I still considering the bundle at $10 CAD? Yes. That'd be $2.50 per title which isn't that expensive. Sure, I could wait, hoping they'll make their way into a cheaper bundle... which might or might not happen.

That's... actually a very good representation of my internal struggle each time I see a bundle that doesn't contain games I'd consider must-play, but still manages to pique my interest. :o/ Part of me wants to buy it, but my more reasonable side says I really don't need it.
And now, I kinda want two games from the new sim bundle... but wouldn't pay the full price and there's no splits so far. >.< It's a neverending battle, really.

Not a terrible bundle, but just double what I'd wanna pay. If it were $4 or $5 USD, I'd instantly grab this

is it sad this might be better at7.99USD than the April Choice at 12?

Yeah if it was $5 it would have been insta-buy for me. I'm getting Humble Choice instead which I believe is far more value for money than this. Ghostrunner and Destroy All Humans! were in my wishlist and games like Chicken Police, Naruto and Monster Sanctuary are nice little additions for $12 (let's see if they give a discount this time).

no worries lol. Fanatical is just too predictible. Few months and these games are gonna get rebundled in a cheaper $5 bundle and then maybe a year from now nearly all of them are most likely gonna be featured in BYOB (1 for $1, 5 for $2.99 and 10 for $4.99).

Can someone explain to me why is it more euros than dollars?

Also, technically, residents of US states that have their own sales tax are supposed to manually track their out of state purchases and pay the relevant tax at the end of the year. However, pretty much no one does this because such small purchases were always too little of a deal for state governments to waste time tracking down. However, recent US law has made it required for US based sellers like Steam to now do this work, though granted this still doesn't apply to non US key sellers like Fanatical (being outside the jurisdiction).
