It irritates me how no matter what the problem is or what game it is the FIRST thing EVERYONE tells you to do is verify integrity of cache as if it's some magical solution to every problem is existence. People need to stop abusing that as if it's the "go to problem solver".
I asked in a forum once if there was a way to link my original Alice game to Alice: MR so I can launch it from A: MR as if I had the pre-release edition and some told me "It should work but if it doesn't try verifying integrity of cache"... That was possibly the dumbest shit I've heard in a long time, as if that's going to do anything for me.
OP, only thing I can recommend is try messing with the launch options to have the game launch to your native resolution. Example:
-fullscreen -w1366 -h768 (something like that) but with your own resolution.
Sorry I can't recommend anymore than that because I don't know anything about your PC specs otherwise I can probably help you out a bit more. I was in the closed beta and helped people out with some troubleshooting over Steam and in mIRC with the Devs for the game.
