Avery Watts- A cut above

I kinda like this group. Good study music, probably good workout music if I did just that.

THIS is all I can think of when listening to most modern music. It just seems kinda empty.

When I hear the phrase "good music" I think more along the lines of these:

You know that what you call "modern music" is more than dubstep or whatever, right? I hate people that keeps bitching about how "old times were better".

Yes. I am referring to pop, rock, metal, etc. and not just electronic music. Everything I hear I just get the overwhelming feeling that it's either unoriginal, lacks feeling, or is just plain bad.

Yeah most of the songs I posted were electronic, not to worry here is some good acoustic stuff

This is also modern

Also, this guy.

And Smooth McGroove.

I'd drop more music, but it'd take ages to write the post.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of the stuff being posted is just modern music and what-not. Personally, I don't listen to any bands or anything modern. I just settle for music from video games, but I guess the closest thing to 'real' music that I listen to is more jazz-type of stuff, even if I rarely listen to it. E.g. Frank Sinatra or Armstrong

What do you define as "modern music"? Electronic?

Music is music! There is nothing such as "real music" unless you mean acoustic instruments, vocal oriented music :)

If you prefer video game music, I highly suggest the Metro 2033 OST, especially the Good Ending song.

Well, real music as in instrumental, I guess. Although, then Dubstep and such wouldn't be real music ( which it's not ). And, well, I'm not really sure how to explain it. I mean, the most popular type of music probably ranges from rock (without the roll) to heavy metal or rap. Last time I checked, jazz or classic or even country isn't exactly that popular.
