BG means backround? if so it is from The Evil Within, not so expensive, about 8 cents... I actually have many backrounds and emoticons and cards :D haha, I am sure I can get level 69 in while if I wanted to... but meh... Too expensive shit for me... I know, but I paid 5-7€ (can't remember) and prices dropped to 3€ over a long time when I last checked. Possibility is that someone might buy it at a higher price than what it has been sold for last.

I only spent some money to buy my current wallpaper which was quite pricy for a wallpaper but it's a keeper, I have no regrets :D Apart from that I don't purchase steam wallet to buy cards but if I have some extra wallet from selling cards, I might complete a set if the game is very special or I adore the badge.

Not really, when I started farming cards I bought so I could create badges for some games so I could increase level. I made two showcases and put up a background. Now I have no backgrounds and I sell every cards so I can buy new games.
But the money I have spent is only from what I have earned in my steam wallet.

I only created badges for certain games that I already had some cards for. When I was finished farming every single game I had I realised thats was enought. I figured that steam level is pointless and I dont really care about badges so much for my future games I like. I still have my two showcases and I thought about keeping one background. But it wasnt really that high priority so I sold that background too :)
Now when I think about it I might look around for one background and keep it in my profile. Looks a little nicer :)

You can somehow make a second one out of the screenshot showcase, with a bit of work.
Not too much work, actually. You'd just need to save an actual screenshot, and modify it before uploading it.

No fancy guides are needed, actually.
Save a screenshot while playing any game, then once you exit the game open the screenshot manager (unless it's set to open automatically), and click "see on disk", or whatever it's called. Then, open the image with an editing software (even Paint works), and do your work.
Here's a quick example, I pasted the wanted image over the original one. It's also my 73rd screenie, 73 is my lucky number!

Don't get fooled by the first episode, it's confusing and its rythm is different from the rest of the series. I'd recommend you to watch at least the first 3 episodes before deciding to drop it again.

I did it, AND I bought a dozen of games or two. Without spending real money.
Mostly cheap games, of course, to keep the chain going.
Get games - farm cards - send some to SCE's bot to get needed ones -sell other for profitz™ - buy more games - rinse and repeat.
But I also bought a few decent games, like The Witcher 1 & 2, NEKOPARA Vol.0, and Mass Effect for my 1st unbundled gib.

Oh, I'm terrible at Dark Souls, but the achievements are pretty simple. :) The trick is not to give up. :)

If for 'first boss' you mean the 'tutorial boss', you can skip it and kill him later when you get estus flask and a better weapon. But if is Taurus Demon, you can do a lot of damage doing a jump attack from a tower in the bridge (and finish him using fire bomb - easiest way to kill him)

The Demon's Great Hammer is a lot of fun to use, but getting it the normal way is a huge pain... :)
The easy way is to choose the Black Firebomb as your starting gift... You'll miss taking the Master Key that way, though, unless you make a Thief - since they always start with it.

Only spent some money on a few trading cards, but I got that money from other trading cards, so..
Even the background I have is from a badge I made, and it costs ~0.44 eur, and I would never pay that much for a digital wallpaper to be honest.
As for the time, I did at one point spend a bit thinking what to make out of it and maybe sometime I'll change the overall theme but for now I'm content with this. I can't be bothered with artwork & screenshot showcases though.

I was crafting badges for games I liked, and buying some items on the market for said games. Also I wanted to collect animal backgrounds and emoticons.

Well, once in a while I spend some time making my profile non-private, and then making it private again, so I guess that yes, I spend some time on this. I also had to occasionally spend time on getting support because my private profile made things complicated, for example when GMG gave back $1 credit if you played the copy of Bioshock Infinite you bought for $1, and they just didn't recognise my game time. That worked out in the end, or I would have posted that I also spent money. :)
So yes, I do care how my profile looks (or rather doesn't), and spend a lot more time on it than someone who doesn't care at all. (And I also chose an avatar because of SG, so there's that.)
Thankfully SGv2 doesn't require syncing the account just for posting, so at least that weekly privacy change doesn't need to be done.
