Hey,

I recently got a new R7 265, and unlike my old GPU, I can see horizontal bars going up my screen when the GPU is on high load. I know this isn't the best place to ask, but does anyone know why this is? I've changed my PSU to a new 500w Corsair, but that didn't help. Here's a video, but you have to look very carefully to see it.

yeah that's bad GPU or memory... still warranty? -> ask for a new one

EDIT: in that vid I cannot see anything

Hmmm, my first reaction would be the PSU as well. Do you use a surge protector? Try plugging directly into the wall and see if the flicker still happens

Otherwise, like 1337Ox said, may be time to utilize that warranty

Are you using analogue VGA connection, or a digital one (DVI/HDMI/DP)?

I'm using VGA, my monitor does have an HDMI-D connection, but I don't have a cable.

That's problem.Try it with DVI or HDMI, VGA creates weird problems with new cards.

Okay, I'll try to get hold of a cable to try it out.

You should try getting that cable. It could be the VGA wire getting interfered with if its around speakers or other things with magnets in them or at least try another VGA cable. I was going to suggest your PSU first but you already tried that.

its the gfx card, several friends have had this on the r7 260-265 series, and tbh the replacement will most likely do the same, i know mine did, bad or faulty design.

Hmm, maybe I can ask for it to be replaced with an R9 270 if I pay a little extra.

It's the Benq GW2255, my old GPU with the same VGA connection works fine.

This happens when you use adapters, try directly plugging in via DVI, if you do not have a monitor that supports it, try it on someone else's PC who does. Also you can try getting a better VGA cable, although they are hard to come by these days.
